I've seen everything that I need to see. I have given Golden and staff the benefit of the doubt but enough is enough. This team might not be 2001 but it's obvious to everyone there are a plethora of playmakers on offense and very good talent all over this defense. It is glaringly obvious that Golden is in over his head and his coaching staff is pure garbage. Last night has to be one of the most blatant displays of coaching ineptitude that I have ever witnessed.
The hope entering the year was that Golden and staff would improve and that coupled with the upgrade in talent would lead to a good result. It didn't happen. The most disturbing thing that I took from last night was that more talent will not Improve anything. Goldens coaching style is such that he will bring the players down to his level. Look at this team. Look at the product on the field. He has no idea what to do with good/great talent. He has managed to strip these players of their aggression and stunted any playmaking instincts they may have had. It's not getting better because it is getting worse. This team has taken on his tentative play not to lose fatalistic mentality and consequently we see fewer big plays because the players are too afraid to make a mistake.
Not only does Golden need to go but he needs to go ASAP because at this point he can only do more harm.
