We lose 2 games and everyone turns their back on the same guy theyve been praising the past 3 years. I live in Ohio and constantly hear what a joke of a fan base we have and I agree with it 100%. Nobody shows up to the games, everyone leaves at the first sign of trouble in the 4Q, and whenever we have a bad game everyone freaks out bc they think we should automatically kill every team. Yeah we played like sh*t....oh well, were 7-2 and we've come a long way under Al.this site sure does bring out the delusional idiots. Some of the crap I've read on here since last night is awful and downright dumb. I'm sticking with our team and coach for the long haul. Fvck all u fair weather fans.

You really think it's different anywhere else? Auburn fans met Gene Chizik at the airport when he was hired and booed him. Get out of here with this crap that it's "just Miami." Miami is actually tame compared with SEC schools.
 
Some of that has gone on but I see a lot of rational discussion about where the program is at and where its headed. No point in even coming to a message board if you don't want to discuss things.

Have we though? I am a HUGE fan of Golden, I would love to see him succeed, but to ignore that we are a bad defensive team right now is ignorant. Only reason we are 7-2 is because of our schedule. We have **** the bed in 2 - 3 big time games this year, and UNC was a 1 win team when we played them. This team is not trending in the right direction. Where's are signature win outside of the Florida win? They have turned out to be a dumpster fire, so its hard to even champion that outside this fan base. Golden new what he signed up for when he came here, the kind of market this is. He will adapt, change, or he will be gone. Simple as that.

I sat in the rain till the very end and that **** was disgraceful. Were 7-2 but the way we lost last night was a shame. It's not oh well, it's we have a major problem w the defensive philosophy here
 
I disagree with everyone who is asking for Golden's head, however he needs to make a tough decision on his DC. I don't care about the miss tackles or anything like that. Its the constant wide open receivers and rbs on 3rd down that get to me. Lining up 5 to 10 yards off the opponent is dumb as ****, especially since we CANT get pressure with the DL. Its been like that since last year. Enough is Enough

It's not losing two games. Most anticipated losing to FSU, it's barely beating GT, UNC, Wake, and now losing to VT. If you don't see a problem there then you're not paying attention. Every team with a pulse has given them trouble. Miami could very easily be 4-5.
This team has not put a full game together all year, period, and most, if not all, of the problems from year one in Golden's tenure are still here.
The team he rolled out on the field last night was an embarrassment.

Speaking as someone who flew in from northern California specifically for this game, then sat in a driving rain storm and was one of the 7 or 8 thousand fans who gave our D a standing ovation when we stopped Va Tech with a minute remaining in the game, I say go **** yourself to the OP.

I can only speak for myself here.

I agree with you! Rain or shine, top 10 rank or top 20, consecutive wins or consecutive losses, tens of thousands of empty seats and a nasty base of fans that craps all over their team with every loss, while endlessly bragging about a legacy brand. Its flat out odd. Just read an article where nick saban is concerned because a full very large house on weekends is half empty by the end of many games because their team scores big on many of their opponents early on. Saban's biggest concern? The effect on team moral and RECRUITING!! Thats right, recruiting!! What 5 star recruit wants to play college football in an empty stadium all year? Its not what dreams are made of, thats for sure.

The 3-4 scheme can stay, the lining up 5 to 10 yards off the ball needs to go! We have the talent to be more aggressive!

Don't know.. don't care. I HATE OSU lol. But I am a Browns season ticket holder and I've sat thru a lot worse stuff than what we saw last night. The inner Browns fan in me probably fueled my rant Haha. Look I agree we haven't played up to par, but Golden's a smart guy. **** make it right. Does not need to be fired
 
Coker, Shannon....never again. Nobody gets the benefit of the doubt anymore. I think Golden is a good CEO. I think he's a below average game day coach, but that can be ok if he steps up and can make the tough choices and surround himself with the right coordinators. He needs to admit HIS defensive scheme sucks and make a change. This isn't Temple.
 
Have to agree. Some of the stuff in here is simply beyond f*cking comical. Im as big a hot head as anyone. And I agree Donofrio needs to go. THis defense is garbage and there is no covering up or making excuses for it before.

But we KNEW this wasnt going to be a great team this year. This was ALWAYS going to be a 10-2 type year. Yes, we sh*t the bed in a game we should have won. Its clear we need to make some changes on this staff as this defense is a mess and its not getting better.

But the people in here now sh*tting all over Golden are simply unreal. Same motherf*ckers in here slurping on the dude up til now, and now its "I always knew he was a bum". I mean its like a bunch of petulant children throwing a hissy fit.

Yes, the defense is having major issues, and changes need to be made. Our QB has also been a huge disappointment this year. We are also a few years away from having the talent we need to compete at the higher levels. This season is not over. Last night was a winnable game if not for 3 HORRIBLE Special Teams blunders. And how much can you really blame coaches for that? You had a TRUE Frosh make a bad mistake, a Senior who has never made a mistake like that, ***** up, and a Senior Punter make a horrible mistake. THREE plays which basically KILLED us.

Yes the defense was HORRIFIC. And Im on board with the "Coach D needs to go" mantra. But the sudden trashing of Golden because of two losses is just over the top bullsh*t. Especially by people who have been riding the guys jock until now.

I mean who the F*CK do people think we are going to get to coach here? This isnt BAMA or some big state SEC team. We cant pay coaches 5 million dollars a year.

I understand being mad and disgusted, and I am THOROUGHLY disgusted by last night, and I HOPE that is lights a fire under AGs *** to make the changes necessary to fix this Defense, but trashing the guy and calling for his head because we lost the 2 toughest games on our schedule, come on, GROW THE F*CK UP.
 
It would be an easier pill to swallow if we saw signs of this team improving. Instead we're watching some bad seniors get blown out while the recruits Golden brought in are nowhere to be found. This is no way to build a team.
