This is a road game and tvd likely will NOT play like he did v A&M.
He looked like **** and I doubt that it goes away in six days versus better opponent

There is a lot of mental gymnastics going on this thread trying to talk themselves into why Miami will win……
We just looked like trash at home and got beat
We are now on the road w mental midget QB
We are playing a team that absolutely OWNS us

Be favored or we win by 2 tds

Miami beat a more physical team with NFL caliber physicality. UNC has Drake Maye but if Miami takes what is given to them and focus they can absolutely defeat UNC
 
At the very least I hope we are competitive in these next couple of games starting with NC.
 
None of you ******** know **** on how the game will end up. STFU. You all probably thought we'd roll GT as well - or get rolled by Ass2mouth...

drake maye also has been sacked 11 times to tvd 3 times this year

I mean Miami lost by combined 7 pts last 2 games against UNC and Miami has been **** so I’m encouraged this team can win
 
If UNC is so amazing and we suck so bad why did the spread open so low ? I’ll tell you why, because Vegas is about making money not emotion.

I don’t want to hear about the past five years because that means nothing. Just like us drubbing GT last year 35-7 with a lot of our backups playing meant nothing this year. Upsets happen , trap games happen and if not for Mario going full caveman we’d survived our trap game. Just like Georgia , Bama and Fsu did. It’s like people here have never played or watched football.

Yeah and Tvd threw for 500 yards yet some people here say we can’t move the ball or win. Imagine being in a foxhole with these people. They’re shivering in the corner playing as a 3 point underdog on the road.

Just don’t want to get hurt again. But the eye test tells u this team is different. Did they **** up last game yes but it doesn’t change that they aren’t like years past

Trying not to knee jerk mope, but 4 days later I can't escape that we are getting straight boatraced, like 45-10 bad, like 38-17 at best bad.

All the compensatory points made ring kinda hollow and some of the real heads are pointing out some problematics. My lying eyes vs. GT, regardless of THE call and officiating laid bare the flaws we knew might rear....I just didn't think they were going to vs. GT - THIS TIME because we had looked so good and were getting mad strokin'.

Having seen what we didn't against GT - after we steamrolled lessers and had an up game vs. ATM early season....I still feel like we're holding a bag of Fool's Gold.

Just can't shake that 2 decades of PTSD; that much as I want to acknowledge some real progress in year 2, I think it's more likely that we get folded and implode to the preseason 5-7 to 7-5 season areas than we are to go on some miraculous run.

Mario having lost the locker room;
TVDud's reliance on luck and X;
Smelling our own farts against Brigham Young Episcopalian and getting exposed by GT;
Mids Run game against good teams, passing game figured out by ACC foes;
Guidry defense holding up for most of a game against good opponents, but needing offense to be straight fire - GT didn't inspire confidence.

Countered with:
Maybe TVD didn't revert more than this one game to the same shell he did in 22 multiple times against teams with a pulse;
Maybe Dawson was looking ahead and playing hide the sheet;
Maybe we did need to get high on our own farts to get smacked back into toughness that was starting to show;
Maybe we are a wounded animal that cares and shows up.

I wanna be wrong so bad, but I am gonna mope until I can't - and am mad AF that I was starting to believe and got rug-pulled with a really BAD overall game vs. GT that looked a whole lot like the last 2 decades of Miami that's made me a mope.

Maybe one day we will all learn that every single game isn't going to be perfect. If you have a terrible game and still put yourself in position to win the game, regardless of the opponent, you are doing the right thing...like I said, technically, Miami won the game. We have to stop this idea that one bad game against one bad opponent means we were really bad all along. I still stand behind what I said...games 1-4 are more indicative than just game 5. You will see Sat night...Miami 31 UNC 24
