I've got news for ya...Miami is winning this weekend

UNC is a really solid team. Great elite QB, physical fast RB's, veteran big OL, good group of WR's, Defense isn't elite but they are athletic, and they don't make it easy for you to move ball up and down the field.

With that said, Miami has the personnel to win the game IF they play a clean game, and execute. Don't get into a hole early. I need the DL to play the best game of the season. I need more from Coach Jason and Joe's group. We need to be able to pressure with 4. Guidry talked about not knowing if Mesidor is available, but we need LT, Deen, JHH, Bain, Harvey, Kelly to get after the UNC OL limit the run game, and get after Maye.

I need FM and WB to get Maye down if he scrambles. I need the safeties to play smart sound football on the backend. We need to be the more physical team.

Your point? Do you want me to say it’s impossible for us to win because they have beaten us 5 years straight? Why is there an ellipsis at the end of every comment? Are you going to close the logical loop?
We can't beat a Garbage GT team at home....but we're gonna walk into Chapel Hill and beat a very good UNC team with an excellent QB??....If you say so....and if you don't like my so-called ellipsis, my advice is to not respond.

After what I witnessed last weekend, I don't really care. I don't trust this program. I don't believe the games aren't rigged anymore.

I'm not watching this weekend. I might not watch again the rest of the year. What I witnessed last Saturday night reeked of point shaving. Maybe I'm wrong, but something just wasn't right about that game. Even had we won at the end, like we should have, there was something very, very wrong with how we played. I refuse to let myself get emotionally involved with a cheat, and I'm sorry Cane fans, but some of you need to take a step back and start asking questions. If your woman comes home with crusty stains on her skirt, you'd ask questions. Right?

As if the team's play wasn't suspicious enough, that last fumble, after review, wasn't reversed? Really? Dude was implanted in the turf before the ball came out. Anyone with eyes could see it. And the announcers acting like they couldn't? Man, this sport is rigged at every level, and I'm done with it. I've lost my last night of sleep after a loss.

I wouldn't lose sleep over the outcome of a professional wrestling match, because I know it's rigged. Same goes for college football. This sport is dead.

I believed Miami was going to beat UNC before Ga. Tech and I still believe it afterwards. Yeah, yeah, yeah...they lost to Ga Tech(they really didnt. They won the game but for a bonehead call). If they would have kneeled on the ball, we would be talking about what we had concerns over from that game but, many of you, myself included, would be focused on the game this weekend. 5-0 would have felt better for sure, but I do not think the locker room is lost, I do think the players and coaches come out focused, and Miami will win on Saturday. I feel it. I truly do. 31-24 Canes!
Not if our qb plays like that again.

I think we'll win too.

UNC hasn't played anybody yet and giving up 335 yards a game.

They had to go to 2OT with app state and gave up 494 yards and 34 points to them. App state averaged 5 yards per carry against them.

They have flaws just like we do.

We’re either going to win, or get our backs blown out. TVD has to be A&M levels of perfect, and the front four has to pressure Maye all night.

Must-win game or the season goes off the rails.

UNC will score on us. Maye is too legit. The determining factor will be what TVD and Dawson do in preparation and how they attack cover 2. GT ran the same d all night and Tyler was impatient and had difficulting finding the attack points. You know UNC has seen the tape and they would be crazy not to give us the same looks.
Hopefully Dawson works with him this week on this and if they do that we pick thwm apart.

Keep saying the same shít when they already have beaten a better team than gt

Is Corey gaynor still their starting center?

For real tho unc is decently stout in tje front 7 with good backers. Don’t know about their secondary. Not as good as tamu up front but we didn’t run on tamu barely at all

Miami has compounded losses (lose at least 2 in a row) at some point in every season since since 2012. Sometimes more than once.

They've also done it 17 times in the last 20 seasons - '05, '09, and '11 are the only exceptions.

Even more evidence:

Since 2013 - Miami has followed their first loss immediately with a 2nd loss 6 times (60%) and of the other 4 times, they didn't follow with a P5 opponent twice but did lose their next P5 game. The only exceptions are 2018 - lose to LSU week 1, then win 3 games vs FCS and G5, then beat UNC in week 5. Most recently, 2020 - boat raced by Clemson and bounce back to beat Pitt the following week.

Since 2013 - when we've suffered our first conference loss, we have suffered our 2nd conference loss in the next in-conference game 6 times (60%)

This program has had zero resiliency and there's not a single reason to believe they've changed that this year.. considering they allowed 76 yards in 2 plays after the coaching and fumble blunder.

Going down 17-7 due to dumbass mistakes and then winning the game against A&M handily goes against your last point.

This history stuff really makes no sense to me. Is there a single human being in the entire athletic department that was here in 2013? I get what you're saying, but every team is different. Just because the 2014 team lost back to back conference games literally has zero correlation to what the 2023 team will or won't do. The prior history of the program is not good in spots like this, no doubt. But I don't think it has anything at all to do with what happens Saturday. This is a new team with new kids and new coaches.

If the reffing in Miami was horrendous against a worthless GT team then the reffing in UNC against the conference's undefeated darling is going to be outright scandalous. I expect for us to be in the lead in the final 90 seconds and lose in heartbreaking fashion.
