ITT We Follow Potential 2015 Coaching Candidate Week 4

Two MAC coaches I have been following for the last 2-3 years has been Dino Babers (Bowling Green) and Matt Campbell (Toledo).
Both have interesting backgrounds and run the type of offenses that would kill with soFla talent.
Will add them to the OP

Campbell (Toledo) will have his hands full today as he plays at Arkansas.
He lost 4 OLine starters from last year too.
I want to see how he handles this game.

They're up 9-7 12 min left in the 3rd.

Good to know, thanks!

Played without their top 2 backs, especially Kareem Hunt who is a stud.

So happy for Denver Kirkland and Alex Collins.

Toledo vs. Arkansas - Game Summary - September 12, 2015 - ESPN

Medley,
What are your thoughts on Jeremy Pruitt? He has long intrigued me as a recruiter and defensive mind.

Another assistant whom I think deserves consideration is Ed Warriner, the OC at Ohio State.
Impressive resume with his background and coaching tree.

Herman picked up a signature victory in just his second game at Houston. Went on the road as a double-digit underdog without having a single class he recruited for a full year and defeated Louisville.

That's a more impressive accomplishment than anything Golden has done, or ever will do, as a coach.

Same Louisville team that wiped its *** with Folden's face in year 4 with a new HC, new schemes on both sides and missing their best players.

I've had my eye on Herman, I'm liking what I see

If Herman is as good as many suspect, he won't be there for more than 2 years.
He has a good staff on both sides of the ball and the previous coach left him some talent.
Maybe the next coach at Texas?

Why couldn't he be a potential hire here after this season?

Have you seen his $2.5 million buyout to leave Houston?

A pittance. McElwang had a $7M buyout to leave CSU for Uf.

Not sure if hes been mentioned yet, but, a couple of us on this board suggested Lashlee (OC @ Auburn) and well no thanks. Auburns O has been turrible so far.

Fuente will have a complete resume after this season.

They play Cincinnati, Navy, Temple, USF, SMU, and Houston.

They also play Ole Miss.

IMO, it will be pretty clear if he's the next "up and comer" by how they perform this season. And if he is, I hope we go all in.

I know the comp hasn't been all that stiff in their 1st 2 games ... But they are blowing doors!

I cannot envision UM spending money on a buyout.
That's big boy football and I've yet to see UM athletics act in that manner.

Herman is probably waiting on the next vacancy at Texas, TexasAM, TCU or maybe even LSU.

UM will either play big boy football with this next hire, or they'll just stick with Folden.

Herman, if he's ambitious, would jump at UM just like any other good young up and comer would. As bad as Folden has made the program look, anyone with a brain knows that the right HC could turn this thing around quickly. There's simply too much local talent.

Or......they will get rid of Golden and go on the cheap on the search/hire as they've done before.
Sorry Chise, I don't trust the folks at UM.

Landscape has changed somewhat these days.
Even the very ambitious coaches are looking for big-time commitments in not just their
salary package, but also the other stuff like assistant coaches salaries, etc.
I don't see UM spending loot on two (Golden and new coach's) buyouts plus the other
stuff that he would be asking.
