ITT We Follow Potential 2015 Coaching Candidate Week 4

Fuente did the following:

1. Won the Conference, The MAC. Dozen coaches won their crappy D3 conferences last year
2. Won 10 Games, and But still has losses to Middle Tennessee, Temple, etc. Al Golden won 9 games. Who cares. Win 10 games several years in a row and I'll be impressed
3. Won a Bowl Game Half the teams in college football won their **** bowl game last year.

Some other fun facts:

1. Memphis hasn't won 10 games since before WW2 Temple....Golden....yada yada
2. Memphis has't won the conference since 1971 Golden.....Temple....sigh
3. Memphis lost 3 games last season. 2 of them were to So, no signature wins. See, in contrast, look at what Urban Meyer did at Utah
4. You're a potato That's why I can fly around my room

I stopped reading when you thought Memphis was in the MAC. Keep porsting.

Gary Pinkel has been added as well as rich rod. That about rounds out the list.

I like Rich Rod, I just think it's funny that most people would not have wanted him anywhere near our program after his Michigan tenure. Now, the majority would welcome him with open arms.

Miami is on the edge of total irrelevance. We need a real HC, not some coordinator or, worse yet, some coordinator who's proven to be a failure as a HC (see *****in, Lame and Rob Dudzinski).

If you don't hire Butch Davis, then make a real HC like Gary Pinkel tell you no. Pinkel is one of the absolute best in the business, but he knows he'll never win a NC at Missouri. If he's got that desire in him to finish his career as a winner, he might jump.

If not Davis or Pinkel, then get another guy who has proven he can win as a HC like Justin Fuente. In fact, if Fuente has another good year this year after losing most of his team from last year, then hire that mf'er immediately.

I have always thought about Pinkel in the same way. Don't see why he wouldn't leave Mizzou SEC or not he is never going to win there. I agree with Fuente as well. Another similar name to Fuente is Mark Hudspeth. 4 straight 9-4 teams with 4 straight bowl wins at ULL. He's going to get a bigger job after this year no doubt... Especially if he takes the next step and wins 10+

No more MAC coaches. No to Hudspeth.

Urban Meyer was at Bowling Green

Can't wait for Justin Fuente's test against Ole miss this year. Fuente will also go head to head against Phillip montegormory (former Baylor OC in his first year as HC at Tulsa), Chad Morris, and Tom Herman.

Justin Fuente's records:

2012: 4-8
2013: 3-9
2014: 10-3

Overall: 17-20

The guy has a LOSING record at MEMPHIS, and y'all want him as our coach. SMH

Record when building a program and getting a start is secondary.

We need to make a visionary hire, we need to find the next ruthless savage. Unless of course you want to throw around names that are unrealistic or aren't going to happen. Is Fuente that guy, I don't know but he at least has the potential.

We have a ruthless savage that wants the job, we know he can do the job, Butch Davis, but is unlikely to get it because the admin/BOT have issues.

I have little faith that the BOT/James/Frank will find that guy but we might get lucky. The other option is hire someone "safe" like UT and UF have recently.

If we made a hire like Jimmy Johnson or Dennis Erickson right now the board would melt down. Jankovich made two elite hires, he saw past their records.

Save your effort.

He's a potato and he's trolling. Don't bother engaging that ******

Pretty sure Jim Harbaugh was sub .500 after his first 3 seasons at Stanford. The lames on here would have passed on him until he started winning 11 games and became an NFL commodity that couldn't be hired by any college.

Identify a hungry savage with a great pedigree who has accomplished victories of significance at his program. I could be dead wrong on Fuente, but I think he's that guy.

Of course, you can't go wrong with a proven veteran like Davis or Pinkel either. But to start looking at fired retreads like *****in, who have never won anything anywhere just because you think he says swaggish **** in press conferences is retarded.

Yup.

From the college game ... I really like Fuente.

I also think he could be the guy to take the gig, and do well. And he's a very realistic candidate.

Plus, coming from Memphis and TCU, I think he would "get" Miami.

... I'm also STILL curious about Chad Morris ... And, post-Saban Kiffin. I know, I know ... :madstare:

I get it.

Y'all are probably right on Kiffin.

I just keep thinking, "he was too young for those other opportunities" ... And with maturity, he'll "kill it" at his next job.

He'd already coached under Pete Carroll and still stunk.

I just don't think he's any good.
