I think this would help so much with recruiting south Florida too. Not that we would lock everyone up but with someone like Morris we wouldn't have to land everyone. Just grab the one to two here and there and plug them in and go. Right now, we have no system and all world talent across the board is necessary to overcome schematic deficiencies. And we'd finally stop trying to fit square pegs into round holes with recruiting all the spread offenses in South Florida.
 
I don't see any reason Coley would stay on and be OC for Morris. The whole reason Coley came here was to branch out, call plays, and build his resume. He wants to be the HC one day. He would be taking a step back once again and playing 2nd fiddle to Morris. Do i think Morris is better as an OC and calling plays? Sure. But Coley is the stud recruiter and this class falls apart without him and Golden.

I also don't know enough about Morris to know if he's ready to lead big program. Even Malzahn had to get some practice at Arkansas State first.

I really like Narduzzi, but Big10 coordinators/position coaches usually get their first job in the MAC or a really low-end AQ school.

Do u actually think Franklin would leave Vanderbilt in the SEC FOR THIS JOB. WOULD LOVE it, but be realistic. We exa fly are not a top program we once were.
 
I see your point in the Coley thing. But my guess is that this year may have humbled him a bit, especially the bowl game. Also, I know he's from this area and he along with his wife a very happy to be back in South Florida. Obviously no one knows for sure but I think he would invite the opportunity to work with such a great offensive mind in Morris and take advantage of putting up gaudy stats as an OC and pad his resume to get that HC gig we both know he aspires.

^ this is the problem with people.

Miami is still a prime job. I'm sorry if people can't see it. If Penn State wasn't goldens alma mater, he wouldn't think twice about leaving for penn state

Do you know for sure a team is gonna take him in the league?? Where are said sources for the NFL job he has already?? oh he has no HC right now....ok moving on.

He's being interviewed by the Redskins - they've requested permission to interview him this week (as the Panthers are on a bye).

It's unlikely he gets the job, but he's clearly on the cusp of one as a highly thought of DC. No way he's going to go and coach in college instead.

Yeah, thats why so many top-tier candidates were beating down the door the last time we had an opening.
 
How about Stoops leaving Uk to come back to Miami as the head man?

(My 1st choice is Petrino, just throwing it out there cause it hasn't been said)
