It's time.

For better or worse, we likely have him for the next three years. And considering all of the major schools looking for coaches right now; who do you think we would get? And would that person be better than Mario?
The North Texas HC or USF(I know we beat them so what)

Do we really play in a dog **** conference? I hear this every year yet we struggle. Can't blow anyone out and put them away. Until further notice Miami is just another middle of the pack ACC team.

Our AD is napping in semi retirement...

Radakovich needs to be his boss and tell him he needs to hire a new OC and give him free reigns of the offense including scheme and coaches.

Mario needs to understand he’s a subpar tactician but an excellent recruiter. If he cares about UM he’ll understand his shortcomings and play the CEO role instead of trying to run an offense everyone has figured out

Rad is more concerned about Clemson...

Almost every one of those guys you mentioned isn’t coming here and if you think Miami is buying him out when the powers that be are the ones that brought him in I don’t wanna be wrong. I don’t know what to tell you, but you might want to ask if you can go to fantasy Island.
Thank You So Much GIF

Can't even watch the game with my son without this disappointment every freaking year we need go independent we get worse calls we do the dumbest stuff and be honest am mentally drained be back next year

We lose Beck, Cici, Bell, our center, Bauman, Cooper and I think McCoy on offense. That is 7 starters.
We lose Bain, Moten, Blay, Mesidor, Wes, Toure, Thomas and Scott. That is 8 starters LOL 15 out 22

Losing Beck, our center and Bauman are big additions by subtraction. Got a new #1 tackle to replace Cici. So challenge will be replacing Bell and Cooper.

Wes and Toure are unremarkable LBs. Dont think our DTs are anything special either. The DBs and DEs will be tough to replace.

Assume Mario wins 9 games this year and loses the bowl, he will be 19-6 in two years. Thats the best two year stretch in 20+ years. He will absolutely get an extension in 2027 if he wins another 9 games in 2026. We haven’t won 9, let alone 10, games 3 seasons in a row in over 20 years. We haven’t had three straight EIGHT win seasons since 15-17… pl

We won’t win a championship with mario. I believe that with my whole heart. But you are all kidding yourselves if you think he’s even on the radar for trouble. He’s way closer to an extension than a termination

Think we will manage without #52

No, if he wins 9 and loses the bowl he would be 19-7 in 2 years which would be the same record Mark Richt had his first 2 seasons.

Fair call out. But do you think we will fire the coach with 19 wins in two years? I don’t think so. And I don’t think it will even make his seat hot

9 wins?

Miami can easily lose to NC State and Pittsburgh. Losing to Cuse is hard to see but the Canes only lead Stanford 14-7 deep into the third quarter. The game at VT is a wildcard. Could be a cold weather game and the team going through the motions.

6-2 Miami may very well close the season 7-5, losing four of five. Followed by a meaningless bowl game where everyone who can opts out for the draft or portals out.

All the while de-commitments start and ESD is a major disappointment.

Mario won't be fired but ending 2025 with a whimper is a downward trend.

I don’t think he’s getting fired this year. But I doubt he survives next year. He hasn’t accomplished anything remarkable here that warrants his seat being cold given the money invested into the program and the talent gap that exists between us and our conference foes.

And There is going to be some (understandable) reluctance on the part of boosters to pay suck tax to get the pieces he’ll need to do anything of note next year anyway, especially if we’re having to fire Dawson and hire a new OC too. They’ll likely consider that they’ll be asked to finance his buyout in the near future as well. In a way it becomes a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Trinton Breeze posted it on Twitter.

The number seems high if we are basing it on the reported 10 year 80 million contract. He would have 48 million remaining.

There are probably other things involved in buying him out but was just wondering.

The $61 million figure is not correct.

If he manages to win out to end the season and wins the bowl game , 11-2 gets him a huge raise and contract extension.

That’s what I’m thinking as well plus you can expect Mario to get another head coaching position so we will get some offsets on that contract. It’s doable if we they want to move on. Will they is a totally different story
