Per Cane Insider: Also said he is solid to the "U". Sorry if this has already been posted. I'm new to this. Just wanted to pass on info.

When Al is fired is he still solid? That's what I need to know.

As long as Ice is here I'm pretty sure majority of the Booker T kids are solid to us.

He is also an Early Enrollee

Ok, so unless I'm missing on Sarcasm 101, how Can Walton go a Fall 2016 class to a January 2015 enrollee?
What I come to learn that anything is possible in South Florida Educational System...

Because he was originally a 2015 kid, he got held back one year... he already has the credits to Graduate, he needed a few more which he took to graduate early....he was craming classes for the past 2 summers...if he stays another year he will be ineligible with the age rule

I think he reclassifies. But I doubt he would be an early enrollment though. End up coming in the fall.

Williams arrives in spring. Then Scarlett and Walton in fall.

Scarlett would enroll early but St. Thomas doesn't allow that.

Regardless I expect Walton to sit a year and hit the weight room. Scarlett and Williams are game ready size wise.

I expect Scarlett and Williams to play quite a bit as freshman in the backfield with Yearby and maybe Gus if he plays like he should.

I'm expecting Gray to be moved to wide receiver. Looks more like a wide receiver than RB to me. IMO, although I do think he can make it as a RB, I would like him at WR better.

I don't expect Duke to return unless we really show we could compete for something big next year, so Scarlett and Williams will definitely play.

Especially with Cronk no longer on board, really want Walton in 2015 for sure.

So we could go after more than just 1 for 2016. Take McIntosh and Rasul for 2016. That's the best move for us.

I can ***** about the coaching staff, but the recruiting isn't bad outside of DT.

I don't see Mark Walton enrolling early, but let's think about something for a second.

2013 we go 9-4 with sophomore Duke Johnson and Dallas Crawford, a safety, in the backfield. Not to mention Stephen Morris at QB.

If everything goes to plan, in 2016 we're looking at a backfield that consists of Brad Kaaya in his junior year handing off to junior Joseph Yearby, senior Gus Edwards, sophomores Jordan Scarlett & Dexter Williams and freshman or redshirt freshman Mark Walton.

That is a Miami Hurricane depth chart & that is how you win championships.

We have to do that at every position, fellas. But we are doing it. If we can purge some of the negativity with a strong finish to this season and get some key commits on the front seven on defense, we will be true ACC title contenders in '15 and we can make a run at the whole **** thing in '16.

So he's what, 26 y.o.?

Uh oh, a positive post. Prepare to get attacked. I do agree with you though. We are finally building a very important aspect we haven't had for a decade...depth.

he's not even 18 so I have no idea why people keep saying he won't be able to play HS again next season w/ the new 19 by Sept 1st rule. Technically he would still fall under the 19 yr 9 month rule that Calvin Ridley had and would still be eligible age wise to play games in 2017. Being ineligible to play HS football due to age was and never has been a motivator for him to do what he's doing. He could have been like most kids down here (ie Cook, Sony etc) and played HSFB at 18 and no one would have cared.

Nice to see something positive on here (minus the Walton pessimism). Just beat FreeShoesU and they will come...then get a real D coordinator to bring in a DL fit for the U. Go CANES!

I don't know what's so funny about my avatar? Just a picture of my girl and I. I was so impressed with this chair and its workmanship that I said hey "hey baby big ole buns, we got a strong relationship, strong as this here chair. She grinded me until both my legs fell asleep. It was quite a beautiful moment, although the feeling has not come back into my legs.
