So your head coach blind sides the athletic director by retiring and you make the decision on who to replace him within about 12 hours? I know all ADs keep a hot list of what coaches they'd interview, but this basically means they did not really interview anyone. They made a decision that will impact the next decade of Canes football in 12 hours. Wow.

Manny has a strong negotiating team: Mark Ritch and forgiving 10 million dollars. Junior RItch keeps job me thinks.
 
Un-*******-believable. Why the rush?!?! Nobody else was going to hire Manny! There's plenty of time until signing day and Manny doesn't recruit anyway! FUUUUCCCKKK!!!!!

Almost everything Ive read about Richt stepping down mentions him being forced to "reevaluate" Jon. He probably should've left with his dad. Surely he realizes that NO P5 school would ever let him coach their QBs, even Manny. I mean.. I won't pin Richt's firing entirely on Jon. But if he had never brought him on board, he'd probably still be here!

I just wonder who stays and who goes. Because if they just spent 4 million, plus his actual contract and a no doubt large buyout, to keep the same staff that got the last coach fired, bj is next just for allowing it!

Knowing just how lazy we are I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same staff Jon included.
I mean would it really surprise you at this point?
