What a breath of fresh air. Cam was a baller throwing kill shots, but boy did he leave a lot of free yards on the table hunting for the big play. Beck's checkdown to Fletcher with about 10:30 left in the 2nd quarter was a thing of beauty. His last read, short toss to Fletcher who coasts to an easy almost 20 yards. I sleep better at night with Beck behind center.

I love Cam, but that was his one weakness. It was never more glaring than at Syracuse on our last drive. On that 4th down he had Martinez wide open on the left side, who had snuck out of the backfield. He would have gained big yardage, because the Cuse was playing prevent with 2 deep safeties. He looked at him but didn’t throw him the ball and was sacked and fumbled.

But, even with that being said, Cam was a stud. If we had this year’s defense last season, we probably win the natty.

Noticed that big check down to fletcher for i believe about 15 yard gain. Very next play Fletcher had his 38 yd or so TD run

He did that all season. He was constantly telling the D what they were doing like dropping into coverage while at the line before the play. Legend.

In a preseason interview last year Cam said he compared his game to Brett Favre and he had a gunslinger mentality. I guess yall thought he was bullsh*tin? Lol

78.3% Beck's completion percentage so far - while not being a checkdown merchant. That is an insane completion rate especially when you consider he's averaging 12.5 yard per completion (9.8 per pass attempted)

If Dawson doesn’t go into a prevent offense at the end of the 3rd, we blow out ND.

Dawson wasn’t sure what he had yet, so he was being conservative.
