if we have even a remotely similar performance against UNC and roll into our clemson game undefeated, it will definitely be college gameday (unless the unc game was) and we would be top 7-10 easy in that game.. somehow survive until FSU (unlikely but hey) we would both be top 5 and it would be incredible

Yeah, because that worked so well for us the first time. PSU is a really good team, so I don't think we'd blow them out. I would definitely go to this game and hope for a replay of 2001 at PSU when we were up 30-0 at the half, but we don't need to relive 1986 and the 5 interceptions and 7 turnovers. Mario is all business and wouldn't do this IMO

If someone is going to ruin a highly rated UM-FSU game this season, it’s going to be FSU, not us. We’ll be heading to Doak undefeated.

I’m not at all worried about the team who went to 2OT vs APPSTATE or the team that got dominated by Duke.

I just don't see us losing to FSU twice. We match up well with them. I think the position groups are even with the exception of Safety, Offensive line, and QB. Kam and James over everyone. I believe our OL is way better than theirs and I think TVD is better than Travis. However, Travis is the X-factor because of his running ability.

It's going to be a great game in November. I hope we beat UNC and Clemson to basically have a spot locked for the ACC championship game.

Yes, this is projecting based on what I've seen of Miami, FSU, Clemson, and UNC in 2 games. If FSU beats Clemson, we can eliminate Clemson with a win. UNC has a slightly easier path to the championship game playing Duke instead of FSU. If we beat UNC and Clemson, the path to title game will look a lot brighter.

I don't see this team stumbling against the teams we're supposed to beat. There's too many leaders to let that happen and the team has bought into the culture.
 
It’s not just that Miami has won, but it’s obvious the new staff is competent and the team is playing on another level compared to last year. They might not win all the games, but they should look like they belong on the same field against Clemson and FSU.

hopefully youre right, but FSU has looked like the best team in the country. this is their shot esp with the elites going through transitions. this being a road game makes it tough. I said before I dont think itll be like last year when they smoked us. I think it'll be competitive but I think theyre just ahead in their timeline (they went all in this year) barring injuries. a 10-2 season for us would celebration imo and true validation for Mario.

unless they quit on the coaches and coaches do the same to the players, I think it'll end up being a good win for us. theyre more talented hands down. we destroyed them on the sidelines with our coaching imo. this was the best sign from the weekend. our coaching is better and makes up for what we make lack in terms of true natural talent on the roster right now. this is going to be a well coached team all year. the talent upgrades will continue to come as a result as kids see a good product that develops the talent and puts them in positions to succeed.

C'mon man!!! Don't drink the kool-aid just yet.

People need to do the research. They've had 3 years of mediocre recruiting. They've lived off the portal. The depth isn't there from high school recruiting. Especially in the trenches. Almost entirely portal reliant.

What are FSU's signature wins? Two years of beating LSU who quite frankly looked terrible in both gsmes. That's it. No other wins against any team with a winning record. 2 of 3 of their losses were against unranked teams.

I'm not burying in on FSU as a #1 or even top 5 team. They have a good team, but simply haven't proven anything yet.

The tests they will face are Duke, Clemson, and Miami. Texas beats Bama at Bama. FSU blows out Southern Miss at home. There's no way they should be ranked ahead of Texas. Texas has the best win of any team two weeks into the season.

We'll at least have Clrmson as a common opponent to compare before we play them.

I hope FSU stays ranked in the top 5. This way the Canes will get a big jump when we beat them at dumpy Doak.

lol I mean you lost a lot when you said that stuff bout LSU. you dont ever think that maybe LSU looked like crap esp in that second half bc FSU was actually really good? we can hate them but be realistic. they have the most dominant win of the young season so far. Texas has the next best win imo (LSU was 5 and Bama was 3/4). they've won double digit games last year and blew out a top 5 team. you can't say with a straight face that LSU wasn't a test and duke Clemson miami are more of a test lol. come on bro. theres a level to being biased and this is it.

I also dont give a **** bout how a team builds a roster. the portal is recruiting bc kids transfer after 1 year (Keon Coleman). they may not be a long term success as a team but they def have built a roster within a 1 year window that can win it all if they keep Travis healthy. again, it doesn't mean we can't play them hard and well. I think we will. I am not sure we can get them this year at Doak if theyre healthy. they have a better team but I think well be better in the long run with how Mario builds talent compared to their strategy, but were talking about this year.
