It's a start... Perry and Weldon get reps with the 1s (today's practice)

That's my fear as well. Its why I keep posting about the schedule before & after the FSU game.
Before? UNC, FIU, @ Toledo, Savannah State
After? 2 home games & 4 road games - including the first game after FSU, the Friday trap game against BC & in Blacksburg.
The schedule isnt THAT difficult overall. But its definitely less.. Freshman friendly after FSU. If there were ever a right time to make a QB switch.. its when the schedule is easy & before fans fly banners calling for it. If he waits until Malik fcks up again (& he will), it'll be too late!

In my view, whoever starts vs UNC, will start vs FSU.

100% agree. We'll have our answer by then. UNC is a short week, Thurs game. I can't see Richt starting a freshman in a short prep week in his first start, home game or not. But FIU the week before? Meaning whoever starts against UNC is our guy against FSU.

That's why this process of going to the bullpen can't start soon enough. There's no way Richt is gonna have any of the other guys make his first start vs FSU. So that UNC game is the one that really tells me what direction UM is going
 
Here's something to think about.. Who do you think the coaches at FSU, VT & Clemson (or any other coach on our schedule) want to see us start at QB? Is there any doubt it's unanimously Malik?

I'm just glad Richt isn't down playing or defending this guy. He should have actually done a QB competition instead of this Malik hype tour. I'm sick and tired of hearing how improved a unit or player is EVERY off-season then when the season starts it the same **** problem.

Al Golden even after getting canned is still hurting this team with all the crap he left behind on the OL and on defense.

You couldn't be more wrong. AL Golden isn't hurting the team one bit. Richt's inability to recruit guys to beat out Golden's is hurting this team.

Question for you and the rest of the board:

Let’s say Perry gets a lot of tick and plays very well (over 60% completion and 3td’s no picks)

How does Richt handle the QB position going forward

This is a joke. Just a ploy for the staff to say hey we tried to give them reps but Malik looked better. Same **** that happened all spring, summer and fall camp. It's probably going to take Malik getting hurt to lose his job.
