It's a start... Perry and Weldon get reps with the 1s (today's practice)

As we know by now as UM fans, coaches are far from infallible in their roster evaluations. This is the same Rick who signed guys like Park and Ramsey and Bauta at QB instead of Deshaun Watson and Cam Newton.

It is hard sometimes to sign guys that do not want to come to you school, Campbell, Surtain, Juedy, Ridley are a few that comes to mind.

you guys can disagree all you want but until you can prove to me where our scheme is "archaic" you're talking out of your ***.

Archaic = 12 and 13 personnel.. under center... power/man blocking schemes.

We havent trotted out 3 tight ends ever.

****, even when we go double TE we flex one out to Y.

Im trying to figure out whats archaic about RPOs/ read options. not once have i seen Roiser have to go under center, make a presnap read, do a seven step drop and make a throw?

****, I wish he was running the ARCHAIC shallow cross offense he made his name with at fsu. But he aint.

So explain to me whats archaic about the offense?

Just because Richt calls the same plays for that bum rosier doesnt mean the scheme is archaic.

yall just dont know the difference between a dumbed down playbook and an open one.

Trust me, when Nkosi starts you guys will be praising the playcalling and playbook.

How can you admit that players are open and Malik misses throws then say the playcalling sucks and scheme is archaic?

itd be different if Maleak was completing these passes and they werent going anywhere but he aint even completing the **** open passes.

Idgaf if your bill walsh. you cant make Throwsier Gameaway look good.

Richts biggest problem isnt his offense or playcalling. its his character expectations. thats it.

Diaz is just a fuqin idiot. Any coach that would trot 4 backups on the field and not call off a blitz after a clear audible is a fuqin tool.

I still got faith in this staff but its dwindling fast

This reminds me of 1999, when Kenny Kelly was the QB we ran a ton of what I dubbed 'Coker-T' as it featured one WR out wide(and this team had Santana Moss and Reggie Wayne) would go two TE"s and two backs. It was insane. But really that was really a reflection of Kelly. I hated it, it was the worst way to play with the type of WR's Miami had.

All of a sudden this kid from California comes in and by the end of the year, we're running much more diverse sets and looking like a real offense. Guy was making pre-snap reads and checks, too. There's a reason why Butch made it pretty clear that going into 2000 that Dorsey would have a shot at the starting job and Kelly took his baseball and glove and went to Tampa

You run what your QB is capable off

There's a difference between recruiting evals and roster evals. It's just weird because I dont remember Richt ever sticking with playing worse QBs at UGA. He regularly pulled underperforming guys.

And the maddening thing is that he's recruited some highly touted guys here. Jarren was a stud prospect, and NKosi was highly regarded too. He's just being stubborn and refusing to give them a shot.

Maybe I'd understand that if Rosier was a game manager type QB. But Rosier is just awful. Time to switch things up

Most intelligent post I've read in a while.

I understand the frustration from fans with the play of our QB. I too would like to see a change at the position. However, I don't agree with all the name calling and bashing being directed towards this kid. At the end of the day, he's a Cane. And as such, I don't think it's a good look for Miami Hurricane fans to be doggin' him like this. He's been ******** up. I doubt he does it on purpose. He's gotten his shot and his best just ain't cuttin' it. Time to move on to one of the younger guys. All the other stuff, we can do without.

EXACTLY. guys think Richt cant employ and teach any of the crap these other gimmicky coaches teach. Trust me, he can.

Hes going to continue to run the same **** plays he always does with Rosier because thats all he can do.

Tired of seeing 4 verts? hand off up the middle, and Qb run?

Wait till Nkosi hits the field.

Number one concern I have with Kosi is not his arm talent. He checks that box. But is he a 'first in(the building) last out' type of guy? Because at this level this is what your QB has to be. I was told some stuff about him coming in that he was a bit lacking in this regard, being a grinder who was really disciplined(both on and off the field) as a major college QB. Hopefully he has grown in this aspect.

One of the underlying problems with Rosier is that he came to UM with aspirations of eventually being a baseball player, not a QB and to me, that wasn't going to fly. He just isn'a true 'football guy' and you might be able to get away with that at other positions but not QB

Where Richt has to be better is understanding that for now, he doesn't have Stafford or any of those really good Olines he had at UGA and with that he has to adjust to his personnel better

This is something I just can't get past. The entire offensive staff have had more than 8 months to evaluate the quarterback play, which led them to decide that MR should have been the starter. Then, after exactly one practice (today), all of a sudden the young guys have gotten good enough to throw them out there and let them sink or swim? I feel like I'm living in an effing alternate universe.

Maybe I just don't read between lines very well. Is coach saying that nobody was good enough to play against LSU but now that we're past that game, there's nobody on our schedule for the next few weeks that will provide enough of a challenge to keep the young guys off the field?

What he's saying is...Kosi and Weldon need to be leaders and take **** seriously. Point blank . Yall know CMR dont play that weed smoking and skipping classes game... he wants either of the 2 to man the fug up and be a leader...not only on the field, but off the field too.

Even if he's not that guy yet, obviously being buried on the depth chart has not humbled him to the point where he thinks that will make a difference. Maybe he needs to get hit in the mouth on Saturdays for that to come out?

See, i would like to have this but its more of an NFL trait than anything, imo. I cant be convinced that Cam Newton, Johnny Manziel, Lamar Jackson, Vince Young, **** im not even buying that Matt Stafford was doing that either.

In college you just need to be a dynamic athlete.

Nkosi is plenty capable of running a 1 read and pull it offense. Difference is. he has the talent to actually hit the 1st read when its open.

I aint saying he wont have his growing pains. but at least he can see over the **** line and is quick and fast enough to get away. Rosier is slow af and really unathletic.

Is it possible for Perry/Weldon/Williams to be worse than Rosier?

Yes. But it’s a chance you have to take at this point. Otherwise, he’s going to lose the team and kill recruiting.

Exactly. You have to take a chance.

Plus, I think it's really, really unlikely that any of those 3 could be worse.
