It's a start... Perry and Weldon get reps with the 1s (today's practice)

I think we can go 10-1 the rest of the way with a different QB. Even if they give us James Blackmon type #s (they should be better since they are redshirt freshmen). 58% completion 19 TDs and 11 INTs. Our WR get open and usually not by just a step, so if any of the 3 QBs can hit open guys we will win and win big.
I wanna share your optimism, but I think we have too many glaring deficiencies to be 10-1. O line, ST are pathetic. Good QB and fast receivers can compensate, but not to 10-1.

My concern is not letting Cade and NKosi get as many reps w 1st team during the week as Duhlik.

Give them a fair shot
Yeah this is true, and I am being dramatic. And I understand we will win Saturday regardless but after enjoying the roller coaster last year for what it is worth, I would enjoy seeing someone other than the two sport kid they signed to back up Kaaya. I want to see one of the kids we signed the last couple seasons. I think it is a fair request given how the last 4 games have gone against 3 of them against elite competition. I would reckon to say we have 10 more games or so before we would have to do that again, plenty of time to break them in.

I think we can go 11-1, but that will only happen if Mark has the balls to make major adjustments with the team. It starts with Malik, but this is a sloppy, undisciplined team! We're all goofing on coach O pre-season, but his guys were pretty disciplined and a **** of a lot more disciplined than our team.

It's all fixable stuff, but it will be difficult, it will require admitting fault and swallowing pride and I just don't think Mark has it in him to do it. But, I'm rooting for him to have the intestinal fortitude to make it happen.

It's the latter notion. I seriously believe the beloved Richt is that stubborn! Nevertheless Cane fan will find out about the QB playing time the next two home games. Whereas Toledo is another story. Read road game.
Like I am starting to feel he's out of his league. He had some passive aggressive coach speak today about angry fans and how we simply don't understand all the things that go into successful qb play that have nothing to do with the QB. He obviously has control issues look at the coaching organization on the offense and the duties assistants actually have come game day. Starting to feel like he is just comitting to 12 to show us we aren't going to tell him how to run his program. If he thinks the fans are loud now keep rolling twelve out there and finish 8 and 5. That seat will be scorching hot in Orlando next year.

With those defencies, outside of Vt and FSU, we should be able to out talent everyone else provided we find a qb that can hit wide open WRs. Even if we don’t score at least we’re flipping field position. LSU started near midfield way too much. It seems to me that Richt is stuck in his ways and he should be asking himself who can get the ball into the hands of the WRs the best. It’s not Rosier that’s all I know.

I still start Rosier next week... 1st quarter only.... All intentions of replacing him
People aren't gonna like this, but it is the right move. That way, if the other 3 guys are somehow worse, you keep your "starter" in place. Richt can put off naming one of the others as starter for at least another week.

Williams will head to FSU or UF and come back and haunt our *** with how we are treating this kid.
Come on the kid will probably start for us next year. I would red shirt him this year and let him grow. I think this kid is better than the rest we have but I certainly don't like throwing a freshmen into the lions den unless we have a great line like Alabama which we don't. Don't be surprised if he's starting next year. But how good are the other two we have if the coach won't start either? Just to throw a bum in for the sake of change is stupid. I'd imagine Rosier won the starting QB earlier because he played better that's not saying much for the other two.

I wish we'd go after QB's that are a little more local trying to pull one from 3500 miles away is insane. The coaches have to do better too or the flags will start flying.

One more thing we need to recruit the best linemen if we want to make it to the top 5 again. You can have every 5 star D back in the country on our team but without top linemen we'll continue to be a little above average. Linemen win championships, almost none of the Alabama QB's in the past 10 years have been great up to this point. Their lines have won championships. JMO

It's all a facade. Richt will start Rosier, one or both backupps will get a couple series.
Richt is a former QB remember. Guess he's all sensitive about QBs feeling all butthurt
I get it but the dude scrubbed the bench for 4 years here then when kayaa went he went “oh **** better start trying now”

Richt gonna throw Rosier out there against this team that my old *** could throw against and when he runs up some big numbers Richt gonna come with " I knew Malik was special" or " that's what a QB is supposed to look like" or some other bullsht.

Supposedly per Barry Jackson of the herald they are changing the way they call out blitz recognition at the line. Tyler Gauthier will now play head up and be responsible for the line calls. This is encouraging because this is something CMR said in the off-season he would be open to if for whatever reason he went with one of the freshmen over 12.

Between this and the QB comment, it sounds like Richt at least recognizes changes have to be made. That's a good thing. Better late than never.

can't you play in the first 4 games and still RS ? I thought that rule took place this year.If this is the case then there's no reason why JW ain't on the field at ;least getting game experience for the future.

Good catch ... man hopefully that’s what it means

Please don't say mean things that are true!

Yes. My idea was to give each QB a quarter (maybe Malik only gets 2 series) and run the offense like your losing so each guy gets a feel for running all different types of plays. We may drop 90 but oh well we need to figure this out before UNC.

I now wonder if they review game films with the QBs to review mistakes and missed opportunities. Yes, I am actually questioning that as I lose my confidence in this coaching staff.
It must be so frustrating as one of the other qbs to sit in that room and be cucked out like that ... just watching some **** qb take your reps from you

For those that went to the spring game, was Perry running with the 2s against the 1s? He was 11/21 but I remember reading he had some great deep balls, also only took 1 sack to Malik’s 4.

I believe it was 1's vs 1's and 2's vs 2's but not positive. I'm know x's and o's guy but i've followed this team for 30 years and Perry's talent was obvious. He threw multiple beautiful deep balls. The trajectory he threw them at was perfect. He consistently was able to avoid sacks and buy time and then throw to receivers. After seeing how bad our OL was in Spring, I said how if they are that bad then Perry has to start just because he can evade the rushers so well. Was shocked after the Spring Game how Rosier was still the favorite. He looked awful then too and couldn't score on our defense. Williams looked very polished for a true freshmen in the spring and also impressed.
