If you are in your late 30s or early 40s (fairly young adult) you've ALREADY experienced multiple times what MOST fanbases have never felt in a single lifetime. I don't mind the losing. I don't. I wasn't expecting a Coker 2.0 movie. But the way we are losing is what bothers me. I'm sick and tired of coaches blaming players and players blaming coaches and that is the next door we are headed to if this ship continues to sink. UM has opened up the checkbook and assembled in its totality a really impressive (for the most part) staff of coaches that have ties to programs that know how to win. We can run a list of nobody programs that just win or find a way to win with a lot less in terms resources and talent.

Richt's presence alone was a guarantee 2 or 3 more wins a season by a lot of the CMR kool aid drinkers. Now we're back to the same old sorry assss weak excuses from years past - he needs to get his own guys, the administration didn't do this or that, the fans, etc.....fccck all that. I just want to see a team that has heart in all phases for once. For me, CMR doesn't get a pass because he's not some first year head coach poppin his cherry. After the last two regimes, we don't DESERVE this bullshhht product. Fuccc the IPF. Canes were winning championships running in a sandbox and a desire to always be the best. Using Manny's logic, is the IPF gonna make them better coaches and players? Almost all the schools in the ACC have an IPF from what I hear...and the ones that suck still suck...I need to see that all these MFckers know WTF they are doing ASAP...like I said, I think we all know what failure looks like and we don't need 4-5 years to figure it out.

I'm just telling you Richt has a demonstrated history of building a top 20 program, and he knows what elite college programs look like. I'm also telling you he has the leverage with the university to accomplish things to put us in positions to win at the highest level.

If you did not grow up in Dade in the 80s/90s, and were somewhat close to the program, or simply just followed them, you literally have zero understanding of the things you wrote. Of course other programs were also cheating significantly, but if you think for one second Miami wasn't right there with them, you didn't live it. The only CANES' THINGS that we have now are: 1. Continually hiring hack coaches because they are cheap. 2.Taking UF and FSU's rejects because we can't recruit worth a **** against them. 3. Sucking and losing to the likes of UVA.

It was who our city was, it is what our program was, it was what the 80s and 90s were - Miami was a *** sponge of a city then and Canes football ruled the roost....yes because of talent, yes because of Howie, Jimma, even Denny...yes because kids were hungry as fak to make it out of their crap-hole poverty lives, ...but also because the gifts flowed from all corners. We don't play like that anymore, we can't play like that anymore, and it all still exists elsewhere...it is just more on the DL these days. Canes football is a nice family program now, and the U is an entirely different animal. The party is over, and that is not to say there wont be some good times had...but do not think for a minute that the party of yesteryear was not fueld by more monies, coke, backroom deals, bagmen, street agents, than just about anywhere in the country. It is who we was, it is how we lived....this is a kinder, gentler U, in a drastically different society...enjoy some good times, but the party is long over. Know that and you will feel better about yourself, but also know you have no idea about what fueled this program to greatness. We were as dirty as they came. And I, like many others my age, loved every **** minute of it.

Born in Coral Gables long before the 80's. In the late 70's and 80's something like 70% of all the hundred dollar bills in the world were here. It was indeed wild and wonderful. Had weekend house not far from JJ's today. Help fund the program starting with Howard. We all relish the bad boy thing. So much so that it has been blown out of proportion. Check out JJ's graduation rate. If was almost equal to the hated PSU in the 60 and 70 % range. Bobby and even Howard were under 20%. I don't think Barry allowed records to be kept. Did kids get crap? I am sure, but did you every pick up a tab for 10 or 15 football players at a restaurant? Was there dirt, sure. Thing is you should have caught Greyhound sometime and check out other places. Football players were kings in many many towns. Now, no town with major college football, except maybe LA, was like Miami so being kings in Miami was bigger and better.

But remember that towns like Miami do not keep secrets. NCAA was here for Howard and found some free tee shirts. What happened to JJ? Phone cards! Really? The Pell grant was the biggest thing and what was that? Administration drug addict employee hooks up kids with a few thousand buck and took a % to feed his habit. Yeap, those kids were just being handed tons of money and drugs but still left paper trail and gave druggie a cut of their money. SMU and OU players were getting more money monthly than any Cane got from Pell scandal.

How do I know. Well, I wrote big checks to Miami and had many friends for the law schools at other schools who did the same. We always exchanged tickets for home and home games and sat near each other in opponents sections. More than one asked my how much cash I had to pony up for players every month. They never believed me when I said nothing. Hey, maybe others did it but nobody ever approached me with a hand out for that stuff. Five calls a week for checks, but money for players at Miami? Our greedy administration would never let players get something without taking a cut.

Were players getting taken care of by fans on the street, in clubs, bars and restaurants. I imagine so. Did dealers give them some freebies? Maybe. Did they crush the ladies? I sure hope so because it was indeed babe heaven back then. But those other schools long ago institutionalize it and we never competed on that level.

Just look at our last scandal. That little midget caused all that trouble over bs money. If those were payoffs and extra benefits, it was embarrassing. He clearly never partied with the drug smugglers good old CC High was turning out in the late 60's and early 70's. We have never touched the big boys when it came to cheating, not even close.

If there is one thing CANE fans have become proficient and experts at in the last 30 years is that we know what GREAT looks like and we know what BAD looks like. Let that soak for a second. If you are in your late 30s or early 40s (fairly young adult) you've ALREADY experienced multiple times what MOST fanbases have never felt in a single lifetime. But we'll save that topic for another day.

I don't mind the losing. I don't. I wasn't expecting a Coker 2.0 movie. But the way we are losing is what bothers me. I'm sick and tired of coaches blaming players and players blaming coaches and that is the next door we are headed to if this ship continues to sink. UM has opened up the checkbook and assembled in its totality a really impressive (for the most part) staff of coaches that have ties to programs that know how to win. We can run a list of nobody programs that just win or find a way to win with a lot less in terms resources and talent.

Richt's presence alone was a guarantee 2 or 3 more wins a season by a lot of the CMR kool aid drinkers. Now we're back to the same old sorry assss weak excuses from years past - he needs to get his own guys, the administration didn't do this or that, the fans, etc.....fccck all that. I just want to see a team that has heart in all phases for once. For me, CMR doesn't get a pass because he's not some first year head coach poppin his cherry. After the last two regimes, we don't DESERVE this bullshhht product. Fuccc the IPF. Canes were winning championships running in a sandbox and a desire to always be the best. Using Manny's logic, is the IPF gonna make them better coaches and players? Almost all the schools in the ACC have an IPF from what I hear...and the ones that suck still suck...I need to see that all these MFckers know WTF they are doing ASAP...like I said, I think we all know what failure looks like and we don't need 4-5 years to figure it out.
