The big donors will make it happen. All they have to do is tell the University they won't be donating anything until a change is made and dangle a # the University can't refuse out if the change is made.

This is what will happen. If there wasn't this buyout I think he would be done right after the last game. It's all up to the deep pockets at this point and I don't think they are gonna sit around and wait and see if he can get it right after 4 years of being spit on by any team with a pulse.

Al did what we needed him for and now it's time for someone to take us to the next level. The University made a bad mistake extending him and now they have to just deal with it bc it was their mistake.

Sorry my friend, it won't happen. Donna's quote of "the NCAA scandal will effect our football program for years to come" tells it all. She is convinced that the 9 schollies have crippled us as you know Al is selling that angle to her hard. She doesn't care about football as she is too busy looking at retirement homes

And she is on her way out, so not sure what your point is.

Nine Schollies?

We haven't lost nine schollies already! That walrus monitor is a drama queen!

Get Butch! He'd laugh at only nine scholarship reductions! He walked into the program and suffered three times that many scholarship losses.

And STILL built the 2000 (11-1) team, the 2001 team (12-0) team, and the 2002 (12-1) team.

Golden is a kid out of place. He's stubborn, obstinate, already knows everything to know about football, and can't see his own dumbass mistakes - all typical behavior of a kid.

We need to get a grown assed man in here.

IMO, Golden's on borrowed time, but he might not be fired till next year.

Really, it all depends on the financials. If the BOT feels that the buyout is too large this year and will be significantly reduced next year, they may force him to fire D'Onofrio (and maybe Coley) this season and give Golden one more year before getting the axe.

Either way, he's a dead man walking. It's just a matter of time.

Actually we our 7 scholarships under the limit this year so we can give out 24 scholarships the next two years. We practially served our time already. This was the biggest slap on the wrist ever from the NCAA.

F/A/G will be gone by the end of the season if not sooner. book it.

there is NO WAY that this ******* makes it until next year. he wants out now. he is completely ****ed and the team will quit down the stretch if they havent already

It doesnt even just take the Big Donors -- if you are a donor at any level (season tickets, single game tickets, apparel, etc) let the administration know how you feel

Golden is DONE here. This is a 5-7 at BEST team this year. You can't survive that.

Coleys not going anywhere he's Kaayas boy. Idk how I feel about that but hes at least shown some signs of recognizing mistakes and growth. Its hard to say how much is him and how much is fat *** so I'd give him a pass, if for recruiting alone and continuity with Kaaya.

I would say waxing his buddy would be enough but everybody is on to him. You can't have the stink of a lame duck coach. Gotta clean it out before its too late. Our team can be loaded next year and we have 2 recruiting classes we can take a full class coming up, we are far from screwed and I think coaches see that.

LMAO at anybody that thinks there isn't a good chance Al is fired the way this season is going to go. People said the same thing about Randy. Many people were saying there was no way he was going to get fired. We know how that went. OP is right. If the big donors want somebody else heading the program, Golden is already toast.

Get Butch in here and give him permission to

Swasey, Kehoe, Coley, Jethro.. .the guy who picks up the towels and the guy who supervises the guy who picks up the towels.

Tear it down. Build it back up.

President Shalala retires in May. For what it's worth, at least three big donors are threatening to withhold their donations and the admin is in a little bit of a panic.

I can tell you one of the prominent BOT members who is well known and works for my company for the first time is actually upset as well.

Mind you...this is like the nicest and most patient person you'll ever meet. When he and I spoke at the beginning of the season I told him how I felt and he told me to be "patient" and "Golden is the right guy for the job".

So I run into him LAST week after the Duke win just to gauge his temperature and he was singing a different turn. Said he expects that in his fourth full year we should win the Coastal.

Then I saw him this morning...with a different look on his face. I'm telling you if a guy like this guy is turning on Golden there's no way he's got many supporters left on the board.

For the rest of the season and for Cinci. It should be 10 people. It's gonna be ugly but that's the clear way to make the feelings known. They get a lot of TV money and they may try to slide for a few years to wind down Golden's contract. We absolutely cannot afford to keep him.

I emailed Blake exactly what I OP'd with the end saying to email me for a donation if he is out by Jan 1. I'm no deep pockets but I'll def donate if Al is let go.

It doesn't have to be just the big donors - every donor, ever purchaser of merchandise, etc. can also SPEAK LOUDLY tell them why you're not buying - let your wallet do the talking. 1000 small donors = 1 big donor. Do your part and let em know why.
