It was never personal until tonight...

Agree, these are the actions of a desperate person. He went all by himself to an empty stadium yet very conveniently there was 1 person left in the stands to notice it was him and take the picture.
Exactly! Staged to the max! Guys a poser from top to bottom starting with the fact the doofus never even played the ******* game. I wouldn’t be shocked if it was his Blake taking the pic. Lol

Honestly! This **** looks so staged is really laughable! @NicKane @Odin

We should start a Go Fund me for the "empty stadium guy" with the broken heart.
Just like Folden, he'll NEVER SEE MONEY LIKE THIS AGAIN!!!

Sad to say, Golden is 10x the coach manuela will ever be and that's saying A LOT!!

It almost looks like he was inserted into the picture…

Manny was bound to fail no matter what Bc he runs a fundamentally flawed defense
He’s shown he has to run his defense no matter how bad it is
So thst stubbornness is why he is going to fail
He can’t adapt

I guess you have never voted then. He gets paid regardless, that is how I can separate empathy from reality. He failed upward, to the tune of millions of donor dollars.
I can separate the fact that Manny should be fired from my belief that-like someone else said-he doesn't need to be "villain-ized" either. He tried. He cares. He's invested. This means a lot to him. I respect that. And in that sense, I feel for him because I don't think he's home after games looking at his bank account.

It's why I view Blake and Manny differently. From my perspective, Blake doesn't truly care. If he's out tomorrow, he'll pick up his stuff and go somewhere else and not care he failed here. I don't think Manny will view this failure the same as how Blake will.

I disagree. He's shown a lot of ability to try new things whether it be new coordinators, going through the portal, getting better recruiters, etc. The problem is, he's out of answers. He doesn't know how to fix it. If he did, he would.

When Manny Diaz conveniently was "caught" standing alone in the empty stadium, looking like a sad puppy dog, he achieved his goal of fooling the rubes once again.

"Manny cares so much, it's so sad" "I feel bad for this guy, it just didnt work out". Hook. Line. and Sinker.

Manny Diaz is a story of incredible self promotion, and his only goal since he got hired back in 2016 was to endear himself to the fans. Tonight's staged photo was the last straw for me. Everything this mfer does is in an effort to get the fans to "like" him; to self promote. The turnover chain. The boat ride to FSU's camp. The Manny Montana image. The endless blitzes against hapless GT and Duke to pad his TFL stats. The twitter game. The stories about his childhood at the OB with his scumbag dad (who ironically killed the OB). The pretense that this is his "Dream job" despite never attending UM nor working here previously.

None of that stuff, NONE OF IT, was ever about what is most important: THE TEAM. The young men. But it got him an undeserved raise to be the head man for 4 million dollars a year, bc people fall for shameless self promoters.

This FSU grad, gimmick defense, never played a down in his life, "Daddy gave me my jobs" charlatan made me sick tonight with that selfish, woe is me picture. If he really cared, he'd quit, and give his current salary to the players. If he REALLY cared, he'd be in the locker room with players coaching them, not taking "candid" photos so the simpletons can feel sorry for him and want to give him another chance. Get this piece of trash out of my fuggin face!
Not defending Manny but many on this board pontificating and proselytizing have never played a down either.

He conned the U to spend 4 mill believing he was the savior that was going to bring championships back to the U. He conned his way pretending to be a cane when he is a nole. He conned his way in to a 3.5 mill per year contract with an extension and buy out. Off camera he’s laughing all the way to the bank.
Ya'll stay out here assuming people got the worst intentions man. He didn't con us. He obviously truly believed that he could get it done. That he knew the things that would fix our crap. He made moves we all wanted with coaching hires and offensive scheme. And he believed in his defense because of how well it worked the first few years. That's not a con. That's someone who thought they had the answers and didn't. Nothing more. Ain't anything nefarious happening. Just a guy a bit too green to have been hired here and a dumb *** AD that let it happen.

This is the last step in any political campaign.

After all the stunts and political talking points are exhausted you move to your last desperate tactic.

Empathy.

I must repeat this. I sincerely feel that EVERY coach we've ever had tried their best and ALL desperately wanted to win.

EVERYONE OF THEM put their heart into winning. ALL OF THEM...NO EXCEPTIONS

Having a lot of heart is common place because we ALL want to succeed So IMO that's nothing special.

WHAT COUNTS ARE YOUR RESULTS...THAT'S ALL THAT IS MEASURED....NOT HOW HARD YOU TRIED OR HOW MUCH YOU CARED.

I've had that same discussion with everyone I've ever fired in my life from executives ...to people who mowed my lawn.

Soooo...Manny you've really ***ed up my lawn man!! 😡

No man, pics, this win or crying isn't going to help

YOU GOT TO GO!!!

You're conflating the topics. Like I said, he should be fired. This is a bottom line business and he ain't getting it done. That much is clear. Whether he tries, cares, is invested, etc. doesn't matter at all in that regard. I don't care if he hasn't slept in 3 weeks or hasn't seen his wife or kids because he's stuck in the facility. It doesn't buy him any more time.

My point was that he feels a more sympathetic character than for example, an Al Golden. It never felt like Al was invested in this community. It didn't help that he was immensely stubborn too and refused to adapt and change. Same for Richt. His heart was never in this gig. From the outside looking in, Manny has tried. He's changed. He's adapted. He's fired and hired coaches. It just hasn't worked because he's just not head coach material yet. That doesn't mean I want to kick the man while he's down or that he needs to be villainized around here.

We do agree that he has to go. Yes

Beyond that...none of us can truly know what someone else really wants or feels....so I won't even try.

Sympathy for me is defined as having pity or a willingness to recognize/alleviate someone's pain.

I have NO sympathy for ANY of the coaches we've fired. ABSOLUTELY ZERO..NONE. beyond the basic Christian humanitarian dogma of wishing no one harm.

They ALL got what they earned ....got paid....and each of them caused me mental anguish & harmed my alma mater
