"It starts with me"

Clive Walford, unprompted, defending Al Golden vehemently in his post-game presser. Said he spoke to team: win next week for AG, not seniors

Channing Crowder said the same **** in defense of Ron Zook. Zero ***** were given and they later won titles because of that.

really hard to believe that players care about their coach ... hurr durrr

Golden is the king of pep talks, car selling, making people feel good ... The players like him, that doesn't mean he's good for them

I truly think that Al cares about these kids and has made a real impact on some of them...unfortunately this is not a nice guy profession. he does not have what it takes to ever win at this level. He would do great as a motivational kindergarden PE teacher

Win it for Al G; it's his last dance.

That's what I read it. But hey, what do I know!

Gets paid millions of dollars to suck at his job yet most of the fan base still can't see thru him smh

Impassioned support for Golden tonight came postgame from Perryman, Walford and Kaaya. Some of it unprompted by media queries.

Problem is, the only guys who will ever do that for a coach on a sinking ship are the players who gained playing time and positive benefit while that person was the coach. Find me the backup OL or LB that says the same thing.

Since it starts w/ him and have been starting w/ him for four years, that's a calling card to be fired.

You know what'd be cute in any instance of someone saying "It starts with me" or "It's on me" or "Ultimately it's my responsibility" from sports to politics? For a freaking member of the idiot media to ask a follow up question in the vein of "Okay, so what will YOU specifically do now to accept the repercussions of the result of this or to prevent it from ever happening again?". It's not that freaking hard. At minimum they could cite the worthless answer for the next time said incompetent offers up the worthless acceptance of responsiblity.

Al biggest problem like himself is inexperience all the way across the board
needs to revamp the staff and add people who can make a difference
he reminds me of Dabo Swinney in the fact that he needs very talented OC/DC to become a difference
maker type of coach.......
i want Al to make it, because changing coaches Coker, Shannon &maybe Al shows serious issues way above the coach
issues lie at AD , BOT and President...... what do they want a championship program or a medicore 6-9 wins a year with a minor bowl

I think the missed the memo tonight. Golden has siked these kids up and told them they are all to blame for the problems on that team. I have no doubt

How sweet, too bad it took to the last game for a win one for the gipper speech

I dressed better in elementary school than fat boy does on game day.
