That 2015 is going to be such a wasted year. We could have cleaned house and for the love of God made a decent hire and the program would at least have life going into NSD. Now I just expect every decent recruit to jump ship and for 7-8 wins to be the norm at miami. I was really young the last time Miami was relevant. It's just sad how quickly it all spiraled and never took back off. I don't know how much more of irrelevancy I can take. Not like I'm done being a fan because that will never happen, but I'm just so apathetic toward everything. Close relatives are big FSU fans and it's honestly sickening to have their success rubbed in my face. For all my canes fam out there I just wanna say I'm suffering with YA. Through thick and thin. Here's to better days. it's all about this U

The most critical date this year will not be the start of the season, or October 10th (FSU, because we're going to lose that one), but when we find out who the new president is. If it's a Donna Shalala clone that chooses to stick with Blake James as the AD and allow Golden to continue here for the sake of saving on the buyout (even though we're likely to lose more money from merchandise sales, tickets, etc...); the football program will then officially be dead.

It won't be as bad as we think. We'll still land a bunch of talent this Wednesday. All is not lost, just the defense.

Of note, our offensive recruiting is still holding serve. Defensively, not so much.

Who do we land besides the commits we have?

When st. Louis dips with jordan already gone, you cant even say our offensive recruiting is good anymore.

Was dropping Golden even an option this year? I think there was a big buy out.. in other words, why is everyone losing their sht when it was never in the cards?

Beating pancreatic cancer isn't ever in the cards either, doesn't mean you can't get upset over it. I was reading that even Bball attendance is up and down this year. Saw were Coach L seemed to blame quiet crowds for some flat play by team -- hope he hasn't caught Golden cancer. Meanwhile, I am taking the 20K I might normally allocate to THE U and use it on THE ME. Just got off one cruise and going on one each of the next two months. 20K makes nice nest egg addition to casino money this year. Boats have a new table game, Extreme Texas Hold-em. It isn't too bad. Wife does well at craps so maybe that will be my back up plan. All those suffering out there remember, bad times as a Cane is still better than being a criminole or swamp scum. Donna is leaving, there is hope.

His seat was never even room temperature, especially after Shalala announced (in Sept) that she wasn't retiring until 2015.

Def not a good time to be a UM fan. Esp after tomorrows **** show. And the only thing that can cure what is going on in this program is winning again. We cant even hang our hats on recruiting season anymore.

I was told today by someone with knowledge that Donna stepping down was a direct result of Med School debacle/Athletics. I was very surprised to hear firstly that she was asked to step down, secondly that Athletics even played a role in the decision. Lastly, considering the person who told me I was even more surprised to hear it from them of all people. TIFWIW. Dead issue now, but good to know that our BOT isn't absolutely blind to DS' shortcomings.

Here is to hoping they bring in someone who will right the ship.

Even scarier to me is the relatively weak a$$ schedule this year that could feasibly have our dip****e AD and BOT trying to justify keeping this train wreck due to "progress" in 2015....

Looks like we sacrificed the 2015 class anyway, and we made no steps toward the future. Sad.

Here I am STILL waiting for the White House press corp to ask Golden why he didn't call a TO to force the officials to do their job in the F$U game on the clear O'Leary fumble.

Hope is just about all we have left at this point, and there's precious little of that right now.

You should send an envelope to the BOT every time you get a new toy, with a picture of it and a ransom note.

Do you want tomorrow's Powerball numbers too? :)

Again, offensively we'll be fine. Mark Walton is the kind of back that makes a class but no one seems to realize it because: (1) He wasnt part of this class until recently when he reclassified to 2015 and (2) Jordan Scarlett got all of the attention at the same position.

The O line class is solid as well.

It is what it is. We all know the macro issues in play here. If you don't just read any of Franchise's 99487320872360349874 posts on the recruiting board. lol In the micro sense, we'll survive this class on offense. On Defense, maybe not so much, but we'll see.
