You can blame the coaching.
The players are also on the hook.
The dropped TD pass by 85 change the complexity of the game.
Instead of 14 to 3, we go y nothing.
The dropped passes are not excusable, the missed blocks are not excused for an experienced line.
Time for the older guys to step up.

Players are definitely within the rights for criticism, but consider that players like Navaughn donaldson, Will Mallory, Gurvan Hall, Amari Carter, and Scaife (really all of the homegrown talent) have not developed each year and have actually regressed. Second year in a row where our best player have come from the portal. Last year Phillips and this year Rambo/Stevenson. And that seniority will always have Cam Harris starting over the rest of the RB group and Wiggins starting over the freshmen receivers. It all points back to coaching and culture which both have been nothing short of abysmal and a disaster.

You can blame the players if this was once but they do this all the time. That's 100% on coaching.

Coaches recruited #85
Coaches could play #80
Coaches teach and coach how to catch and how much it should be practiced based on the results on the field
I blame the coaches

Who's ultimately responsible for recruiting kids who can catch, coaching them how to catch, and deciding who should start?

Mallory probably catches that ball...7/10 times, maybe being generous. But he didn't.

Teams take on the persona of their coaches, and this team sits down to ****.

Have you been living under a rock for the last 6 years?

You do realize that Manny Diaz, the human being, has been here SIX TOTAL YEARS correct? You do realize that means that if the players are a problem, that falls right back on Diaz correct? You do realize that the span of his tenure means he is responsible for the RECRUITMENT, EVALUATION, AND DEVELOPMENT of every single player on that defense....as well as a good part of the offensive players and transfers....

Correct?

I said in year one not benching guys for stupid penalties or mistakes isn’t how you build a culture. Then suddenly this week he benched some guys for mistakes. In year three he’s teaching accountability lol. When there’s no threat of getting pt taken kids domt have urgency and get lackadaisical. So it always comes back to coaching.

Yet 85 drops a easy TD and stays in the game. It starts and ends with the coaches. I get it, trust me, that coaches coach, players play. But week after week, same players with silly penalties, drops, not performing well. And they still start, barely lose playing time. Crap has been happening since Manny been the HC. Zero accountability. It starts with the Head Coach.
