It does not take a great coach to win at Miami

I dont know how old you are but let me enlighten you on the fact Miami was nothing but suntan U before Howard Schnellenberger

That's absolutely nuts. We had top ten teams in the '50's and '60's. Maybe not every year, but some of our mid-50's teams were very good. No, we were not competing for national championships, but we had some pretty good teams. The '67 team was preseason number one by Playboy. I think we lost three games that year, several to top teams by only a few points.

These days it takes a great coach with a thick hide to win at Miami. We are the most hated program in the history of CFB. Everyone wants us to get mauled every game. Golden made us a laughing stock and the rest of CFB loved it. They wanted Albortion to stay forever. The fact that we're coached by a stand up guy now pizzes them all off. Don't expect any breaks, CMR. They absolutely LOATH and DESPISE us. Mark Richt will get no breaks from anyone. He'd better be prepared for the toughest job in CFB.

And then the 1970's was the worst decade of Miami football and almost got the program dropped.
