To satisfy the anti-Mario cloud and the direction the team is headed. Flying the banner is a waste of time and money. Firing Mario does not guarantee that any new hire would be better, etc. The only true solution is for Miami to drop football entirely. Then, on Saturday afternoons, or evenings, there would be nothing to complain about. NAH! They'll still find a way to complain.

My question is for the folks that put the money up for him. What are you going to do when you’re seeing that this is the result of your investment. When the fans come at Mario like they did Manny, Golden, and Shannon what are you going to do?

Perhaps that'd be best all ways around. Think of the time you'd be freeing up. Think of the emotional stress so many of the faithful would no longer be putting themselves through. Think of all the money saved on merch and season tix for a terrible program.

Have low expectations. Look for small improvements. Which this year was. Expect lots of change in the off season. 8-4 next year. Assuming decent qb and easy schedule.

You know what I said during recruiting holds true now.

Expect nothing good to happen and you won’t ever be disappointed then if something good does happen you can feel the excitement. This will keep you from the constant let down that has become he Miami football program.

We’ve sucked since 2002. Why so mad now?
Exactly. Everyone knows how this story ends. The dirty secret is, Miami has been bad/mediocre longer than we have been dominant/great. We must accept that as fans. No elite coach wants this job. The question is why is that?

Bro, he may not have been elite but Mike Leach literally had the former President of the United States write Shalala to ask her to hire him. We hired Shannon instead. Then he wanted the job the next time it opened, we got Al Golden. Would Leach have won championships? Maybe not but at least football would have been entertaining.

And then when Richt walked away, Kiffin would have taken the job at a lower salary than Richt was making. And finally after Diaz got fired, Kiffin would have left Ole Miss without question.

Plenty of good coaches have wanted the job, but we have idiots making the hiring decisions.

Our goal is to be bowl eligible. Mario has done that like he promised. IMO, we need to extend him for another 10 years
