It’s Not the Economy Stupid-It’s the Running Game!

Maybe if he stopped running up the middle the running game can have a chance.

This was not up the middle and is not Felder's fault. 62 and 65 face planted in Chapel Hill.

Unfortunately, there are countless examples of that type of line play. Doing my impression of a broken record; if the offensive line play can be straightened away the Canes will be a powerhouse and worthy of being a playoff team. Should the line continue to play as they have for most of the season, this coming weekend, against what many believe to be the best D-Coordinator in college football, then it could get very ugly!

By the way, based on how that play was defensed, which is seemingly how other teams have crashed down on our sweeps, might mean a running back will stop, launch the ball, and find Richards (or someone else) being lonely in the secondary.

I think better QB play would open up the run dramatically. Rosier is tuff and has proven to be cool under pressure but are not the stagnant plays and lack of the passing in the middle on the Qb and not the play caller. I see BB Herndon and a few others open in the middle so that may not be what Rosier is comfortable with. CMR is protecting him well imo but I see people asking for bubble screens and watching Rosier pass get batted or just poorly trown that may not just work for him. He has tallents in other areas that CMR uses 80 pct of the time.

Defenses can continue to load up on the run and make Malik beat them through the air, which is about a 50/50 proposition.
