Yea it’s so much different then it was back in the 80’s and 90’s. It used to be a foregone conclusion that the big favorite would win by thirty or forty and it was over by halftime. It sounds cliche but literally any team can lose now if they don’t bring their A game. Fans should truly cherish every win now instead of expecting it.

I 100% agree with OP. Yet Bama, Georgia, Taint somehow manage to make the playoffs almost every year. Clemson too up until the recent staph turnover and ho-hum QB play.

It’s why we shouldn’t expect wins until year 6 or 7 of a tenure.

Winning is hard & takes a lot of time & it’s not like the HC is getting paid to do it.
