Not sure if it’s the case this time but Ole Miss was known for this in the past. They did it to the oldest McDermott brother that ended up at Colorado St.

So what happens, they send a kid an offer, then decide they don’t want him and ignore him but he doesn’t take the hint and he signs an LOI and then then refuse to accept it when he signs?
I thought the school sends an LOI close to signing day, how does it work?

In the case I’m referring to they make the plan B feel like a shoe in, then on signing day tell the kid to wait, leaving him scrambling and having him sign to a lesser school than he was worth.

The article said Ole Miss had no paperwork on the guy, no research or anything. Sounds like he might have been trolled? Unless Ole Miss actually did reach out and is just trying to pretend they never did, which would be ****ed up (if you rescind an offer, at least acknowledge it).

If they left the kid with no decent alternative because other classes filled up, that’s really a dishonorable thing to do.
