Omg. It doesn’t matter who else. He’s in demand by us and he has huge support, money and facilities where he’s at with top recruits and championship games. This isn’t that complicated. No you’re missing the point. It was my conversation with that other dude that you jumped in between on - and that dude has an issue with Miami waiting the extra week to announce Mario if it’s at his request as Mario doesn’t want the attention on his team before their PAC Championship Game. That dude thinks we should tell him how it’s gonna be with the announcement or he can pound sand. That’s not being smart and picking your fights to achieve your ultimate goal in a negotiation.

Dude, that’s not what I said at all. I have no issue with them waiting to hire Mario, never even came close to saying that. I have an issue with the whole program being held hostage, and them not firing manny or announcing an AD, to supposedly prevent Mario from answering a question about an open position at Miami. I also don’t agree with your assumption that Mario has made this explicit request and it is somehow a condition to him being hired here. That If we don’t do this, he’ll somehow walk due to his delicate sensibilities. Your assumptions are apparently based on thinking that Miami is playing this smart. My years of following Miami tell me they shouldn’t get the benefit of the doubt and will **** the bed if given a clean set of sheets.
In the past 6 years, there’s only been about 6 hours where we had an open hc position. I’m sure some did want Mario to come but when you don’t have an opening or a coach on the hot seat (meaning richt wasn’t in reality), no wonder it didn’t come to fruition. That’s completely different than the conversations that are happening now in these circumstances
We have as much leverage as a school with no AD and no open Hc position has ever had In trying to hire a new HC (allegedly). As I’ve been trying to say, these are circumstances That Miami has created that puts them at a disadvantage, and they have total control over…they’ve just been dragging their feet since September hoping manny’s performance will make the decision easy for them, So we’re behind the game
