This has been a work in progress for about 12 years now. These are slow growing English Boxwoods. Almost lost them about 8 years ago to an early spring hard frost

When I started this, I looked around a for shrub that at least had some orange in it. There's another boxwood called a Golden that looks mostly yellow. I didn't want anything with the name "Golden" in it! So I settled with the all green. I will eventually cut a split in it. I've thought about painting it but am afraid it might harm it.

I'll have to check out this paint!

LOL! I've thought about that as well. I had to build the lamp post close enough to the road for the mail carrier so that didn't leave me much room on the road side.

Cut out the middle strip, and on game days, get some orange cloth or something and drape the one side.

That’s a great idea! We put flags out on game days so putting an orange cloth on it would fit right in.

If you open it up in the middle, shave it down there also and make a vertical U. Then you'll have it in two directions.
