Seems like a reach, 190lb TE?!..is this cat too slow to be a WR? Can this cat gain 40lbs and be an effective TE? Past 4 stars in recent years that have been weight *** light have failed at Miami…

if he is 190 im passing as well.

Look, I don't know if all these weights are legit, but LSU needs to stop bull****ting. If they can't help this kid gain 25 pounds, that's on them.

I’m not seeing the concerns about his weight and playing TE. His lower body is pretty well built and he looks fine for a TE recruit who hasn’t started his senior year of HS. He won’t be as big as Arroyo but he will play at 6-4 235 and that is fine. Good pickup.

Well the concern is if he is 190 and Actuallly want to be WR. Again maybe the latter part is bs, but if it isn’t his weight is much larger concern, because it greatly reduces the odds he actually adds that weight in any reasonable amount of time. And he is a highly rated player who likely isn’t going to be in a bargain bin nil deal.

Take all day. Hands catcher, shifty for 6'4 1/2, and good vision when the ball's in his hands. The tall/fast TE types that can get down the seam are a commodity, though clearly will be taking a step up in competition.
Personally saw Kaiden Prothro (higher rated class of '26 TE from GA), and the kid was a just as skinny as Briggs. Physically, like the thick calves and appears to have some quads. Like others said, the upper body is easier to develop.
Easily could project to a Langham/Cager type, with potential to grow into a seam threat as a receiving TE. No qualms here.

Man. That’s great research.
It’s very deceptive. LSU has some big TEs on their roster right now. I don’t see Mason Taylor on that list either and I’m pretty sure he played and started at LSU some of those years.
