How when Miami doesn't have fans at the stadium the media pundits and fans of other teams talk sh*t about our attendance but when we **** near fill it out against FAMU they don't say a **** word... When have we ever filled out a stadium vs FAMU?

FAMU draws good crowds, that is why we schedule them. 2002 we drew 65k at the Orange Bowl. We usually get a minimum of 45k for these games. Fans blaming the media, such an easy thing to do for fans like you. Miami's fan perception with attendance is a reality.

miami sports will always have the stigma of having disinterested fans who either don't show up or show up late and leave early. it was like that for the heat during the big 3 era, jealous fakkits will look for anything to hate.

I'm not doubting the people who were actually there saying it was almost full, but man it looked dull af and half empty on tv. Probably just people taking it easy for FAMU though.

Good crowd. I had to doubletake. I left home late and assumed it would be no problem to drive into the lot and stroll into the stadium. Not even close. I misjudged by 15 or 20 thousand.

It was also not a late arriving crowd. Maybe people arrived early to get a look at the stadium. Not sure. Once I sat down at kickoff it was surprisingly full and didn't change appreciably.

Normally the Canes crowds are tardy to show, but the test for that will be a noon game, those **** noon games. Richt should be paid extra if he allows us to avoid noon games. Make everything prime time and relevant.

I'm guilty of avoiding noon games. Just too dang hot! Now ,with the new roof providing shade, gonna give it another shot.

6 pm game?

Some of you all are underestimating the amount of people that attended the game to watch FAMU Marching 100 play....it's a big draw if you're like me. SO many factors played into so many people being here for a measly FCS opponent.

1. Mark Richt's Debut
2. Mark Richt excited the community
3. ALOT of friends and family of team mates/band members on the FAMU side, are from Miami. They wear the same colors so they obviously blend in...and every single one of my friends that are a FAMU fan, is also a Miami fan. So they had 2 reasons to attend.
4. Curiosity on the new stadium upgrades
5. Wanting to claim they were at Richt's first game as a Cane, and/or first game as Hardrock Stadium for canes.

When attendance isnt an issue they dont talk about it. You might hear things like "in front of this intimidating crowd" and other blah blah stuff placed into announcers conversations when discussing an SEC or Big 10 game, but when you fill the stands like your supposed to people talk about the game and not about attendance. If they arent talking about it, its a good thing.
