Is Vasiljevic the worst "3 Pt Specialist" in history?

Because the opposition's view was not that he wasn't missing shots, but that is too early to write him off. All these guys came in saying he was a 35% 3 point shooter at best a mere 5 or 6 games into the season. That is why they deserve scorn.
For what it's worth, in addition to that, my objection was that 35% isn't a bad 3-point shooter. It's not a great three-point shooter, but it's far from a bad one.

Hindsight is 20/20. The kid couldnt hit anything when this thread was made.

When the thread was made we had played 6 games, and DJ was over 50% from three in four of those six games. "The kid could't hit anything" is not the correct characterization of how he was playing. That's why it was a bad thread then and it's still a bad thread now.

You cant just pick which games you want to average. Look at the average for the whole 6 games. Also, a lot of the people getting called out didnt start commenting in this thread until a few games later when his average really dropped.

The other white guy should bare the brunt of all criticism.

All he does is play no D, whiff on rebounds, and foul.

He still shot over 35% during that period. That's not "couldn't hit anything", is it? And 6 games is WAY to small a sample size that was skewed by one bad game (1-10 to open the season) to draw any conclusions. Yes, he did have a rough patch. Like most shooters do. And like you pointed out, you don't get to pick and choose clusters of games if you really want to analyze his value as a shooter. He shot 41% on the year. Plenty good. DJ isn't an incredible shooter yet, but he is a pretty good one, and if he keeps working at his craft he can be elite IMHO. Personally, I'd like to see him get in better shape. JJ Reddick did that before his senior season and became a much more effective basketball player. I think DJ could do the same.

The original poster was using hyperbole. Especially considering the fact that DJ was a defensive liability and couldnt drive at the time. All he had was a shot and he missed a ton of shots. I understood where the poster was coming from. He also continued that trend for the next few games which is when more posters came and agreed with the original poster. Then he started doing better. I hope you are correct because we need a real 3 point threat on this team.

He looks like an outta shape gym teacher. He needs to lose about 20 pounds. That is why his shot is failing.
God why do I post here with ****heads like this. Can't even think through a post. "That is why his shot is failing" after everyone here has agreed his shot is not failing. Do people think before they post? What a giant waste of time reading what you wrote.

More like his pot belly...that's the fail. What's he average about 10 minutes a game? That fat belly is holding him down.
He averages 22 mins a game. And let's not mince words. I agree, he's fat. But at least he's got something going for him. Wouldn't be surprised to find you flip burgers at McDonald's.

Lmao...I'm a successful business owner and college educated. My best success is that of a father and a husband. I am also a honorably discharged veteran that served in the Gulf War. But, i'll let you hold on to your childish dreams. Still doesn't change the fact that he is fat and out of shape.

Why is it that NO ONE is in fear of him while he's in the game? Cause his shot is not consistent. If it was consistent, you would see him playing way more minutes and having way more impact. I'm saying he is not as good as he could be because he is fat and out of shape.
