Is tomorrow a must win?

Nah, especially with the early signing period already locked in.

Before a game like this would have been key to swinging recruits or locking them in, now it's just a reward for the work the team put in.

Of course you want them to win, but a loss doesn't diminish what they've accomplished and doesn't change the direction we're moving in.

I say yes. All the hype and momentum to close 2017 and open 2018, especially what coaches are telling recruits, would be huge with a win. Also good to beat a really good football team who should be in the CFP but choked vs the Suckeyes.
 
I’ll tell you one thing for sure. Banda driving around town showing off the OB Classic trophy will be a lot more impressive than flaunting that Russell Bowl certificate he was waving around last year.
 
In the later years in Athens, this is the kind of game that UGA fans expected Richt to lose because he'd somehow still back into a 10-win season. We know this is really an 11-win season because of Ark St already...I think winning against Wisconsin helps Richt show that he is continuing to move us forward and will not be limited by his past.

I think this win will do even more than the WVU win because of it being the Orange bowl game, not a minor bowl. Both for recruiting and for driving the team's focus into next year.
 
Definitely a must win gottdammit!!! We can’t lose to the Wisconsin slow motion. Even if Rosier plays like crap the defense has to show up and win this thing for us. Whether our D scores once or twice or three times,they have to set the pace. Hopefully the offense picks it up. We can’t end the season with a lose recruits are waiting to see the outcome of this game gottdammit!

every game is a must win...Major bowl game = must win. Anyone trying to set them selves up for us losing and rationalizing that by stating that this is not a "must win" is stupid and should jump into oncoming traffic head first
 
Yes it's a must win this is MIAMI every game is a statement game to show mf's we will beat dat *** when you step on da field against us. I hope our players don't have that soft *** mentality some of you have talking bout no it's not a must win. We will just be a middle of da pack school with that weak *** attitude. DA U wanted to embarrass everybody we played.
 
Also, FSU won their Orange Bowl against Harbaugh. To lose against Wisconsin would be a disgrace.

Yes, you have to put a stop to all the “Miami is a fraud” chatter out there reality is we played one great game(ND), two good games(FSU & VT) and plodded along in the rest. We need to show some life after the last two games and get our groove back.

Hot take: the Pitt loss saved Miami from a Clemson curbstomping. If Miami beats Pitt then it goes into ACC championship game ranked #1 in BCS. Clemson would have been ranked #4 , with a legit worry that it could get jumped if the other teams in contention annihilated their opponents. Instead, since Miami went into the game #6 (pretty sure it was 5 or 6 in BCS) and Clemson was #1 , Tigers didn't need to make a huge statement. I think it was pretty obvious that Dabo called the dogs once it became obvious that Miami was toothless and didn't pose a threat to come back as he has respect for Richt. However if Miami is #1 going into the ACC championship, I think Dabo lays the wood and, based on how we looked, the score could legitimately have been 70-3 (and we'd be ranked the same as we are now) . I'd be a lot more demoralized going into the Orange Bowl after a 70-3 loss than I am after Pitt and Clemson losses. Team still has self-respect, which I don't think it would have if the Canes had been de-pants on national TV by Clemson. Anywho, I don't think we lose tomorrow, but in the unlikely event that we do I don't believe it has any bearing on the LSU game in terms of carrying over momentum unless Miami is totally blown out (then it would probably lead to a depressing off-season).
 
Yes. It a must win. If we lose and Georgia wins then knowing this fan base.. people (UM and UGA fans) will spent the whole off-season saying Richt can't win big games etc. It will be annoying knowing we had no QB, no O-line, under 70 active players, Playmakers at RB, WR, and TE gone, and no depth.

I also gotta say..... if Manny Diaz has Wisconsin QB's looking like how he made Clemson's QB look then IDK if we will ever win anything with him at DC.

FSU took that massive Orange Bowl win against Michigan and followed it up with a 6-6 season and a losing record in the ACC.

So yeah, absolute must win.

They got their doors blown off by a non-P5 Houston team in another NY6 Bowl the year before and still pulled in a top 3 class and a top 5 ranking.
