Not saying I would be disappointed in the season, but losing 3 straight to end it would leave a sour taste in my mouth mane

Rosier needs to step the **** up

Not a must-win, but would be tremendously disappointing if we lost in what largely amounts to a home game vs. the least talented team in the top 10.

Not a must win but it would really make this season seem average with 3 straight losses to end it. It would make it hard to feel good about the things we actually did accomplish; 10 wins, coastal champs, beating FSU etc... if we go out like chumps to end the season!

Yes we need everything we can especially against a one deminsion team like this. Keep the momentum going into next year where we will be top 5 and close on those recruits and play for championship next year. Only team with the skill we have they lost to (Ohio state). In a few years after a championship or two then games are not meaningful against team like them.

I was satisfied with the Clemson game and even understood the Pitt one, but this would be like that four game losing streak last year very disappointing we need every bit of positive as possivle especially against this one dimensional team like them

No. What happens if we lose?

Nothing, we go ito 2018 as a top 10 team and have a shot to make a statement right away.

It is definitely a big game though. Means a lot for recruiting.

In the grand scheme of things this game does not matter except for final rankings. We win the ACC next year we go to the playoff. We go 12-1 with our only loss to Clemson in the ACC title game we've got a great shot.

Tomorrow's game will affect our preseason ranking next year but that's about it. Tomorrow isn't a must win but it is about finishing strong and with pride.

Yes it's a must win IMHO. A win somewhat removes the stench from the last two games and is a spring board for next year. A dominating win in our home stadium makes perception closer to the team that played ND and VT instead of Pitt and Clem. And it's all about perception with recruits nowadays.

I am going with yes because of the LSU opening game.

If we lose it the qb situation is in a very bad place for next season. I don't know if its fair to start Perry in the Dallas venue on national tv against LSU. We win and we have Rosier as our starting qb for at least that game. These kickoff classic games sound really good until you actually have to play them. Ask Jimbo how he likes them now

We are playing LSU, not Alabama.

We’ll know fairly early how this one will shake out. We’ve made some average QBs look like Tom Brady this year, and Hornyfacquit is about as average as they get. If he comes out throwing darts to wide open receivers with no pressure on him then it’s going to be a painful night. Likewise, if Rosier comes out quacking like Menudo-looking duck then it will portend pain.

Would hate to lose because we have a lot of advantages over them, and it’s a home game. But this one will come down to which average QB can play better. Not sure it’s must win because we are pretty clearly in a transition waiting for a plus QB to take the helm, but 3 straight losses after such a magical first 10 games would be a massive gut punch.

LSU sucks and will be breaking in a new QB and new OC. Regardless of what happens against the cheese faqqs, our QB competition will be wide open next year.

It is absolutely a must win. We need to regain the momentum we had all season to maximize our shot at Campbell and the rest of the unsigned recruits.

Yes. Every game is a must-win. That is the culture that made UM.

You never know if a game is a must-win until it's already over. Most of you guys said Pittsburgh wasn't a must-win, sure had an impact on the season though didn't it?

All this excuse-making about why a game isn't a must-win is a loser's mentality.

Well... ****. If losing this game means we don't have to wonder if Rosier will be hot or cold ever again, then I'm willing to take the L. I won't like it, but I'll take it.

Hardly a must win but it would put a nice little bow on what has generally been a pleasant season. The bowl win last year definitely helped set the tone for the offseason and following year so the momentum would be nice. The difference between 11-2 and 10-3 isn't a huge deal though. My questions about the general direction of the program have been answered this season already.
