Is this what Miami football is supposed to look like?

When you're lining up against a running back room with Gore, McGahee, and Portis taking snaps, or you're a QB looking downfield with Sean Taylor, Ed Reed, and Antrel Rolle staring back at you, and Vince Wilfork is pawing the ground right in front of you, and Jonathan Vilma is behind him, glaring at you because he knows what you're going to do before you do it--that's the pinnacle of what we came to enjoy Saturday after Saturday. That pinnacle may never be reached again in our life times, but it's the standard we'll never forget and never stop hoping for.

in the summer ot 2000, i met a woman banker who was as beautiful as sofia luaren. i convinced her to travel with me o seattle for our first game against U-Dub. Tuiasosopo had our number that day, santana muffed a punt, and we lost the first game of the year. the intelligentsia at the time didn't fly banners, but if i'm remembering this correctly they wanted to hold a protest at the hecht and hang Coker from the rafters. or at least in effigy.
Cool story. What happened with banking Sofia Loren though?

Mcelroy had a good take here: "Not another team I'd least like to play." Think that a pretty accurate assessment after 3 games. Jokes aside about playing Tuff & Fyzikal, I do think we are playing an intimidating brand of football thus far. It's awesome.

I was a teenager for the '94 Nebraska game, so '00-'02 teams the measuring stick for me. Outside of QB, OL, & Edge (only the starters obv) there's not really a comparison, but for the vibes this team is giving off: we're intimidating and there have been moments when it looks like the other teams have no chance, know they have no chance, and are terrified. Which is cool to see again.

We have a long way to go this year, and a **** ton to clean up and improve, but it's an exciting time to be a Canes fan again. Probably doesn't hurt that there doesn't appear to be a dominant team this year in college football either (or at least there isn't a dominant team in college football outside of Coral Gables, potentially lol)
