Is this the lowest of the lows?

2 part question for the board:

-As a fan...is this the most you’ve been upset/let down/discouraged about the Canes and their future since the Radio era?

-Is this the lowest point for the program since the Radio era?

For me I’m trying trying not to be a prisoner of the moment but it’s **** close. Between the loss to Duke on Saturday, the blowout loss to Clemson that got Golden fired, and the blowout loss to UVA in the OBs last game I’m not sure which is the lowest point.

As far as the most I’ve been upset or discouraged...today may be it. With the recruiting de commitments, the stubbornness of Richt, the clear lack of an offense, the reality were stuck with the status quo, and the realization that it’s gonna get worse before it gets better (assuming it ever does) I’ve hit rock bottom as a fan.

Yes and yes.

1. Both Shannon AND Golden finished 9-4 in year 3. With Golden, there was even a reasonable excuse for not winning 11 games in year 3, as the team was completely devastated after losing Duke Johnson. There have been no significant injuries here. This is exactly the team Rick planned on.

2. With lesser paid coaches there was at least a remote possibility that some high roller on the BOT would say, "I've seen enough" and we could look forward to a new hiring if things looked really bad in year 3. Rick isn't going anywhere for at least 3 more years. He isn't leaving 12 million on the table.

With Rick, we are actually in far worse shape than FSU. Taggart at least seems like he'd be willing to change if something doesn't work anymore.

I'm not just saying it because I'm caught up in the moment. This is the darkest it's been in all my years of watching the Canes.

Our offense sh*tty play has eclipsed the retched play of a donofrio coached defense let that sink in. It’s that bad and it’s sickening

Because I don't currently see an avenue for significant changes, this is my personal low. And, that'll be the case regardless of whatever else happens this season (on the field).

I re-watched last night's game and did a play by play review out of sheer habit. I hated every second of it and it's been progressively more nauseating every week since UVA.

Yeah, these are dark times for sure. Al Golden could use the “cloud” as an excuse. Richt has no such excuse and I think he’s performing worse than Golden. We haven’t even hit bottom yet. This team is on the verge of complete collapse.

Richt's conservative play calling definitely does not make it easy. However, the OL and especially QB play is so bad that it doesn't even matter. Like Barry Jackson wrote in his column today, the other QB's (not Rosier) should get all of the playing time going forward to find out if there is anyone on the roster who will actually look like a Power 5 QB.

Perry should get more time to see if he will develop, but it definitely does not look good for him either. Of course, Richt taking him in and out of games doesn't help. Give him some stability to grow a bit.

Nothing is worse than the feeling of walking out of the OB losing 48-0 to UVa. This wasn't even close.

The last memory I have of where I spent so many great times was an abomination.

Agreed. I guess I just didn’t want to accept it before but I now believe the Canes should always be referred to in the past tense. The administration has INTENTIONALLY destroyed the program.

Last game at the OB was pretty ******* low.

But considering where we were 1 year ago; pounded VT, GameDay announced to campus for the ND game, and then all of the momentum we had after curb stomping them on national television, to a 3-game losing streak against ACC powerhouses UVA, BC and Duke and legitimately facing the possibility of not even becoming bowl eligible.... yeah it's pretty God damned low.
