This is year 3 of the most expensive regime in the ACC with the biggest NIL budget in the ACC and we’re wondering if this team can beat Syracuse and if it’s the biggest game of Mario’s career.

Idk how to be any more clear than this. Win the game or go find a new job. Zero excuses.

I voted yes, but pretty much every game from here on out is his biggest game unless we lose one.

Florida game might have been bigger. Bottom line is if you lose Saturday and even miss the playoffs you still won 10 games. That would be a big disappointment, but not a total failure. Lose that Florida game and the season goes off the rails in the first week.

But let's be real. What is the record next year? 8-4? Unless we improve the CB, QB and get a stud WR? We won't be having 10 wins for another 2 years. Next year's schedule is harder.

Every week is the biggest game for Miami according to the media, beginning with USF. It’s never let up. This game isn’t any bigger for Mario than the previous 10, as he says 1-0 this week.

If we lost the Florida game, season would feel lost but fact is we could still run the table, win the ACC championship ,and get a bye in playoffs. Lose this game and no ACC championship game, no playoffs, and we get a mid tier bowl game.

May be unfair, but 10 wins isn’t going to change the perception that Cristobal had every conceivable advantage this season, the best QB in program history and still couldn’t even make it to the ACC championship game. And the comparison will be SMU. Manny Diaz’s UM OC took a smu squad filled with UM rejects to the ACC championship in his first year.

Fact is UM just had to beat a mediocre GT squad a couple weeks ago and this Saturday would be largely irrelevant. But we all expected a Cristobal coached team to have a massive letdown game. Would have been better if it happened against a non conference opponent, even if it had been USF but unfortunately it was a conference game. If we had a 10 win season last year, I think there would be a little leeway in that fans would be able to convince ourselves that UM had a stable program again, another 10 win season was the floor, and eventually we would break through. But a lot of us see the holes all over the roster, especially defense and QB, and can’t figure out if the program is built to win or if we just caught lightning in a bottle with a QB who covers up for roster that is inexcusably thin in year 3.

This is Cristobal’s biggest game. Lose and the Atmosphere around the UM program will get toxic- and deservedly so.

Per ChatGPT:

The upcoming game against Syracuse is significant for Miami Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal, but opinions vary on whether it qualifies as the most important game of his career. With a chance to clinch an ACC Championship berth, this game represents a pivotal moment for Miami's program under Cristobal's leadership, showcasing their resurgence and potential to compete at a national level.

The stakes are undeniably high, given Miami's strong 10-1 record and aspirations for postseason success. However, Cristobal has coached in other crucial matchups, including during his time at Oregon, where he led the team to conference championships and major bowl games. This game, while critical for Miami's immediate goals, may not eclipse the broader career-defining moments he has already experienced【18】【19】.

Still, the outcome could shape perceptions of Cristobal's tenure at Miami and his ability to deliver in high-pressure situations. A win would solidify the Hurricanes' standing and build momentum for future success.

I voted Mope in honor of our Board Mope Battalion.

I actually think we'll come out and do quite well. I think the Defense may actually be getting its act together just in time for a playoff run, and I think that both Ward and X are going to be playing with chips on their shoulders due to being snubbed from the Maxwell and Biletnikoff award nominations.

I think Ward knows that the fix is in for the Heisman, and he wants to make a f**king statement to the country over the next two games and into the playoffs, especially to the NFL scouts who are going to be talking First Round Contract with him. Restrepo, too.

Don't kid yourselves, X wants First Round Money just as much as Ward wants Top Three Money.

Contrary to the Propaganda, it will NOT be fun for either Syracuse or Southern Methodist going forward. JMHO.

Mope is actually the only correct answer.
