Is This Even Possible?

If by some chance we get lucky enough, and I repeat lucky enough, to rid ourselves of this pendejo of a coach in Golden, if what I was told is true, Butch will be the first choice.

highly unlikely, but OP might be on to something...

can the Admin be tactically posturing?

If not for Golden's hefty buyout, I'm sure he'd be gone. So since it will cost them substantially more to fire him, they wait to see if they get lucky and some dumb AD at Pitt, BC, Neb... takes him, thus easing our financial burden and we then bring in Butch....

It's hard to get hired away when it's been the most underachieving program in Football under your [Golden] watch. Biggest praise on Golden & Owls crew is that "he turned Temple around". But then, what about WHERE he is at NOW? When U answer that you'd figure that no one would touch Golden with a ten-foot pole!

Not happening Golden is here at least another year. And in my opinion probably two more years unless he fires some assitants. If no assistants are let go this year then next year he will fire a few assitants to give him another year.
Turn your computer off and go take a lap for idiocy.

Golden is here until there's at least a new president.

And if he pulls out double digit wins in 2015 he's probably not getting fired. It's unlikely, but it's not totally out of the realm of possibility.

LMAO at Gordlen getting double digit wins in 2015.

This group of out of touch with the real world academic administrators would make a sensible football decision unless it was recommended by the Harvard brain trust.

If there's a beat down administered upon the Canes by Coach Gator, Golden is gone. Period. Spurrier's team will be out for blood. I don't see the Canes going in with the same enthusiasm.

I subscribe to the idea that there are no coincidences.

The U Part 2 comes out, and here's a TV special on Butch Davis, with enough other material thrown in to call it a documentary.

Next, there's an article by the Herald where Butch is asked pointed questions about what's wrong with the program, and even suggests some of Golden's past excuses, where Butch blows that out of the water.

Now we have a radio interview with Butch Davis, and once again, he's addressing problems and solutions.

Postulation #1 - The media want Butch Davis back at UM, and are giving him access to different media that is particularly interesting to Miami folks.

Postulation #2 - UM wants Butch back, and they're casting Butch among the media, doing in essence, a pre-sell of Butch Davis in anticipation of him being hired as the Head Coach. Getting fan feedback, easing Miami fans into the idea of what Butch can do for Miami.

And with the positive feedback from fans, the normal introductory period normally associated with a new coach - is greatly diminished - and everyone involved with the hire will be able to make his hire a no-brainer, rather than lots of traditional ****ing and moaning with who they selected.

Is this POSSIBLE?

:ibis-roflmao-sm4:

If Folden couldn't pull out double digit wins with how many of our guys on NFL lists, how the heck is he going to do it with the 2015 team?
The schedule doesn't get any easier.

C'mon man.

Nice to see Golden's entire extended family is trying their best to save Al's job.
