It is Christmas and one can only hope. Unfortuanelty we have a ten year track record on the "decision makers" at UM. Lets just say I would not trust these dumbasses will make the right decision about anything

What in this history of the UM board of trustees would give you the impression that they are capable of this level of forward-thinking?
 
There are NO coincidences in politics.

You don't see anyone from the Board rushing out to defend Golden or the Temple Mafia during a Bowl Week. The players know this and see this. I can't believe that Butch wouldn't be out there doing this if someone on the Board didn't tell him to start opening his mouth.
 
Not happening Golden is here at least another year. And in my opinion probably two more years unless he fires some assitants. If no assistants are let go this year then next year he will fire a few assitants to give him another year.

And with the positive feedback from fans, the normal introductory period normally associated with a new coach - is greatly diminished - and everyone involved with the hire will be able to make his hire a no-brainer, rather than lots of traditional ****ing and moaning with who they selected.

Ayo shouts out to far arch and canedynasty who were always bout dat butch life like me even before this whole season went buns up in week one. We were always bout that butch life n respected and knew what he did at Miami when other downplayed it, talkin bout Miami coaches itself noise. Will give ya due in my video tomorrow.

Oh, there's not much forward thinking.

They just looked back and saw where the program left the road, and want to get back to that point and start up again.


Al Golden may resign, deal with UM kept private, for wife's health. No one can blame him, he has an excuse for being 'distracted,' he leaves on good terms, Golden and Shalala hug for the cameras, and Butch Davis is announced after a short coach search.

And if he pulls out double digit wins in 2015 he's probably not getting fired. It's unlikely, but it's not totally out of the realm of possibility.

The admin has a vendetta against the football program for the "thug" image in the media.

They don't want the program to be good again. The war on football will continue.

can the Admin be tactically posturing?

If not for Golden's hefty buyout, I'm sure he'd be gone. So since it will cost them substantially more to fire him, they wait to see if they get lucky and some dumb AD at Pitt, BC, Neb... takes him, thus easing our financial burden and we then bring in Butch....
