I subscribe to the idea that there are no coincidences.
The U Part 2 comes out, and here's a TV special on Butch Davis, with enough other material thrown in to call it a documentary.
Next, there's an article by the Herald where Butch is asked pointed questions about what's wrong with the program, and even suggests some of Golden's past excuses, where Butch blows that out of the water.
Now we have a radio interview with Butch Davis, and once again, he's addressing problems and solutions.
Postulation #1 - The media want Butch Davis back at UM, and are giving him access to different media that is particularly interesting to Miami folks.
Postulation #2 - UM wants Butch back, and they're casting Butch among the media, doing in essence, a pre-sell of Butch Davis in anticipation of him being hired as the Head Coach. Getting fan feedback, easing Miami fans into the idea of what Butch can do for Miami.
And with the positive feedback from fans, the normal introductory period normally associated with a new coach - is greatly diminished - and everyone involved with the hire will be able to make his hire a no-brainer, rather than lots of traditional ****ing and moaning with who they selected.
Is this POSSIBLE?
