I'm almost having a hard time seeing them lose. The O and D line will be the difference. The way the defense has been playing all year showed me they are built for this moment. A few hiccups in games they should have won, but the last 4 games were unlike anything we have seen in YEARS! I am picturing Mario with that trophy over his head in January. Will it into existence. LETS GO CANES!!!! :neonu:

We have the best lines of any team left. We have no real weaknesses. Just play good football and we have a chance. Don't do that and we'll lose. I have watched enough teams play this year to say that when Miami is playing their best ball, they look like the best team in the country. They look like the most complete team in the country. We just need to show up and play our best.

Never thought we didn’t have a chance, but did think Texas AM was the best team in the SEC, until I really payed closer attention to them the last week or so.

More and more everyday this game looking a lot more winnable.

My biggest worry is the crowd. But some early stops and scores by us will shut all that down

My only concerns would be hiccups from Beck and who is the 2nd option when teams double Toney? All the teams have some form of wart to deal with so it's not implausible. We do have to face most of the highest pure talent teams I'd be curious how lacking a 2nd premier option comes into play. I think we would beat everybody in the top half of the bracket.
Most of these teams on the lower side have a pair of stud receivers to lean on that we don't have to that degree so can't afford to get in shootouts.

I think there are any number of teams that can win it all. I certainly don't think Miami is some sort of shoo-in by any means. If Beck has one of his off games, we're toast. So let's see how it plays out against the tards from Huntsville before we start crowning ourselves.

This team is built for a deep run. It’s not like last years team which was more of a “puncher’s chance” type of squad. Defense keeps us in every game. The issue is our seeding gives us the toughest road to the championship of any team. We would likely have to defeat the three best teams in the playoffs, Ohio State, Georgia and either Oregon or Indiana for the title.

This is what Mario build his roster for.

He said year 4 so it's pretty impressive, it was a slow drag and last year was a bit of let down, but you certainly saw the next year (this year) coming.

At the start of the year I thought we were a complete team, I still hold to that.

I don't see another team strength that's left being that scary. A very mobile QB that can throw is the scariest thing, but we've controlled the ones we've faced so far, so gotta agree.

I am less concerned with Beck but I do agree that our skill position weapons outside of Toney give me pause.

We have not faced a defense with as much talent as A&M and no one is even close since like, Louisville. I'm hopeful the offensive resurgence has been real and not a product of inferior opponents.

But I am nervous nonetheless.

Yep. If Miami doesn’t beat themselves, they can beat anybody in the playoffs. No team scares me.

Just saw A&M might also be losing their DC to Kentucky. Even if both coordinators are staying on for the playoff run, I'm sure that's a bit of a distraction in the building
