Is there a possibility ACC takes game from us ?

Today on Good Morning America, that **** Jesse Palmer said there is NOTHING in place that can over turn the outcome of the game.

I find it SO interesting that we won that game on a ST play having lost our ST coach on Sunday :newman:

Karma is a *****

And also our first win vs a top 25 team since he was hired. Coincidence? I think not.

False. He won three games versus ranked opponents. None of them finished ranked though.

First AWAY game win vs a ranked team since 2009 IIRC.

Even if they could, why? What did MIAMI do wrong on that play? The argument is that the refs missed some calls (what else is new?)

Agreed. They have already done about as much as they could do in suspending the refs. In reality it's not even the refs fault that last play happened the way it did. If they blew the play dead because the knee was down on the field then in review it really wasn't down it would be much worse than it is now. They did the right thing letting it play out. But where it went wrong was the review booth. They had the opportunity to overturn Mark Walton's knee being down and they didn't.

Look at it this way.. if Walton was carrying the football on a running play and the same thing happened only it was a fumble and not a lateral. Would they look at it and say his knee was down and he had control of the ball, therefore... no fumble. Or, would they say they ball was not in control and therefore the fumble stands? Most certainly that would have been a fumble still, and the same logic goes for a lateral.

And another thing.. Cutcliffe needs to understand that his team got beat in the first place. 23 penalties to 5? Are you kidding me that game shouldn't have been close and they let it stay close. My old coaches would be saying we deserved to lose on a play like that, putting the blame on the team for it even being close with the other team giving up that many penalties.

Here's the thing - you know who David Cutcliffe needs to be mad at right now? His team. They had ONE job - ONE job with no time on the clock - tackle the guy with the ball. If there has to be a replay discussion as to whether or not that happened - then it didn't.

Forget the 3 PI calls. Forget the non-TD. Forget the negated INT. Forget all that, since that's what Cutcliffe wants us to do anyway. I watched those Duke players stand around and play pattycake while our guys completed EIGHT FREAKING LATERALS and while Corn Elder ran 91 yards breaking tackles for a TD. This wasn't a **** "holy roller" play where the ball bounces crazily and ends up in the endzone. This was our kick return team making their kick coverage team look like fools for 48 seconds straight.

You wanna be ****ed, coach? Fine, be ****ed. Just be ****ed at the right people.

Agree with ghost2...Why is nobody discussing how the **** the Duke ST coverage could let something like that happen? In fact, if you look at the replay, alot of the Duke kids gave up trying to make the tackle hoping a flag would bail them out...Where is the outrage in that?

No way they overturn a game at ANY level. It has never happened in any sport where they award a victory to the other team the next day. They **** sure wouldnt do it in college. The NFL/NBA/MLB would have to start something like that. And they arent because of gambling and fantasy football.

Best thing for everyone to do is move on and for us to get ready for UVA and for Duke to get ready for UNC.

They can't and they won't.

This will be against their own rules which will open them them up for a lawsuit which can result in Miami leaving the conference without any penalties and even go after damages.

They will issue some statement like they already did and move on.

No.

I have been a football fan since the mid 70's and play Pee wee ball and high school. I know the rules and much as anyone. Saying that I have zero faith regarding ACC and NCAA. The more I hear complains about Saturday , getting a bad feeling. Is there any possible way they can take the win from us ? I know is crazy and unprecedented, but NCAA is crazy.
