Is the decline real at UGA?

I couldn’t read the article. Last year for the Missouri game it was $650 a night at hotel. Non-game weekends $165. For Alabama game $1000. Crazy.
Homewood Sweets downtown A-town wuz $1,900/nite with 2 nites rekwired fer Bama. HeII sun, that’s 12 munths lot rent fer me.

So you think OSU, UGA. Or uofm win it again?

How about going back just ten years when it was all bag schools? Bama, lsu, Clemson, UF, and UGA.

Parity isn’t just about cfp. It is about any given Saturday. If this continues, I believe we see it bleed into the cfp. Injuries will impact results. Oklahoma maybe a cfp team but drop 3 due to the qb being out for example. OSU minus Sayin/ja, Oregon minus Moore, Miami minus Bain/beck, … the depth across every team causes additional stress to the picture of who wins it call. Is it perfect? No. Is it bama playing for it every year? No
Why you put UF in there? Lol

Everything you say about Georgia is true but alot of it is masked with a great QB which they dont have.

Same for LSU and Bama.

Their biggest issue is the DL. They haven’t generated a decent pass rush most of the year. You could sign every 5 star DB, if the opposing QB is just standing there 75% of the game you stand no chance.

Brother, the bag schools r the ones dominating. I’m not sure y u think otherwise.

Considering I have some inside sources at UGA I can tell you they are concerned. The defensive backs development has suffered since Fran Brown left. And there are people beginning to wonder if Schumann is as great as Kirby thinks. They have issues and missed on some big evaluations at WR and RB that is causing issues. Also the they are horrible at the o line.

TrumpyCane finds it funny because his DBs at Cuse are horrific

Dominating would be bama with saban.

There is parity among the p2/p4 and the old money nil is hitting the market like never before. I mean freaking Indiana is likely to make it into a 12 team play off two years in a row. Psu as well. Then you have teams that will rotate in Texas tech vs Arizona State. Miami vs dead bag man Clemson.

The big bags aren’t going away: OSU, bama, UGA, Oregon, UM, Texas but man they aren’t filled top to bottom. Heck, I’d take Miamis chances vs most this year and we weren’t really a bad school. Texas Tc is another that likely could get interesting vs most.

It isn’t about removing all the bag schools. It is about weakening them to allow for more schools to beat them and more variance year over year. Less bama wins 7 of 10 or whatever it was.

Who are the bag schools?

Who are the bag schools?

IMO- it would be the schools in decline now that NIL is above the table. Texas tech, Miami, and SMU would have been bag schools but the ncaa had some nails.

To me: most of the top sec plus osu, Oregon, usc, Mich.

Now you have every sec, B1G, half b12, half the acc all fighting for kids. Just look at Russell going to cuse potentially. Or mendoza at Indiana, Duke Qb. All the QBs moving vs sitting for 1-2 years then playing 2-3

You can say it is the same but I see a difference. 5 teams with most, 5 more fighting no one else. Now you have 10-15 fighting for NSD too kids, 30-40 fighting for good NSD plus portal.

You make it to the TOP

people start picking at you… OFFERING your lower STAFF guys promotions… picking your back ups to be starters elsewhere.

Your incoming guys REST on the laurels from a past they weren’t apart of. LOOK AT US. Our dudes are talking about stuff that happened before they were born. Takes a real coach to motivate with all the pain and BULL**** these kids go through.

It’s hard to maintain a spot at the top….

Georgia though has the best coach in football… they will be BACK
lol…

Kirby is going to kill that program.

****, I wish we could have a coach kill our program as badly as Kirby is doing to Georgia.

Two championships… consistent top 5 PROGRAM… no embarrassing losses…

“Killing the program”

News flash… only one P4 team can realistically go UNDEFEATED at end of year. Losses will HAPPEN along the way.

Georgia isn’t going away, though clearly not the team they have been. Can’t pump out NFL talent year after year, especially on the defensive side & not eventually have it catch up. Also decline in skill position talent on offense last two seasons.

NIL neutralized the playing field. Players that are normally backups at Bama, UGA, etc. are starters on other teams. Gone are the days of teams like Bama and UGA stockpiling multiple layers of the best talent. Losing the uneven advantage caused Saban to retire and Smart/UGA/SEC to be out of the national championship picture the last couple years.

Now that every team can legally pay players without doing it illegally under the table through boosters the playing field has evened out. UGA can no longer stack up 10 DTs on their roster. In fact, they had to take our often injured DT Horton through the portal this last offseason. Bama/UGA both had to use the portal to get WRs from Miami now that they can’t just drop a bag and buy all of the best DB/WR talent S FL has to offer.
