Is the decline real at UGA?

1. The defense at UGA for the last two seasons doesn't look like anything special until Vandy's season ends and Muschamp can devote time to putting the defense together.

2. For some reason we were told that UGA was upgrading at the QB position because Gunner drives a Ford pickup and he's more liked by his teammates.

3. UGA WRs haven't been the same since Hankton left for LSU.

4. UGA OL hasn't been the same since Matt Luke "retired" and then went to Clemson.

5. UGA has now slipped back to the pack in the SEC with everyone else. I don't feel they are any longer the class of the conference.

Same is true at bama, lsu, Clemson. Bag schools aren’t winning 40-50 blue chippers. Nil means parity
 
You make it to the TOP

people start picking at you… OFFERING your lower STAFF guys promotions… picking your back ups to be starters elsewhere.

Your incoming guys REST on the laurels from a past they weren’t apart of. LOOK AT US. Our dudes are talking about stuff that happened before they were born. Takes a real coach to motivate with all the pain and BULL**** these kids go through.

It’s hard to maintain a spot at the top….

Georgia though has the best coach in football… they will be BACK

Everyone has slipped in top level of SEC, they cannot stick 2 deep anymore with portal and NIL and players are not going to wait. All it takes these days is a couple of injuries, a couple of bad HS recruits not panning out and you come back to the group real fast

That means that coaching and player acquisitions are all the more important. Look at what Kiffin is doing with a Division II transfer QB. That's all coaching and player acquisitions. I think the only BCS program to offer Trinidad was Temple. I like what Cristobal is doing. NIL and the portal is exposing coaches who had unfair advantages who were never really good coaches.

I have said this so many times that the reason Smart, Saban, and Dabo ruled is because NIL was at those schools before it became legal. Add in the portal and you have what we have now. I am not saying these guys are not good coaches, but if I have had to build a program with one of these guys or Jimmy, I am taking Jimmy 10/10 times. JJ didn't have NIL, the portal or a best friend heading the NCAA.

You know Muschamp is their DC whenever Vandy season ends. Muschamp's son plays at Vandy and he follows Vandy to every game. But, when Vandy isn't playing their defense looks good and that's because Muschamp is the real DC. I don't buy the hype with Lanning or Glen Schumann.

Being 3 deep with blue chip oline and DLine players getting paid 50k and a charger has hurt jawja

Gotta coach and figure out what your team is best at and not assume “bro ball” will be the answer… even Mario last year knew with cam to ride the wave. This year is more his speed but you’ve gotta realize the pieces you have and play them.

The entire top half of the SEC has taken a step back since everyone can buy players now. Weird, huh? It's almost like the only real reason they were good was because they were the only ones allowed to pay players. Now to cover their tracks, they are still over-rated to make it LOOK like they are the toughest conference. I freaking hate the SEC and their ESPN pimps.
