Is tee Martin a good option as OC

He probably knew it, but do you want him to acknowledge it during the season and create more issues? It's like Nick Saban when he was with the Dolphins and kept saying he was not going to be the Alabama coach? Is he supposed to say yes with two games left? Makes no sense. Perhaps after the regular season ended he should have looked into it and not waited til after the bowl game, but trying to ignore it during the regular season is understandable.
