Is Richt going to make any staff changes?

Most staff hiring are done in January. I know everyone wants a OC and OL coach right now. Firing a OL coach right now doesn’t make sense for recruiting or if you’re playing in a bowl game. Usually teams that are not in bowl games are hiring right now. I’m sure we’re looking at several candidates. You’re asking for a massive migraine if you expect rapid changes.

Everyone wants the convience of knowing now, but as long as conversations and possible agreements on replacements are happening behind the scenes the final result will be the same. Most people just don’t have patience. The only negative I can see with waiting to make or announce staff changes, is it effects recruiting right now with the negative perception of our offense. Making a change and announcing it now would allow our staff to put a positive spin for offensive recruiting and recruiting in general on what we will be next year.

Maybe would help for early enrollment. NSD is in February any new staff have time to recruit. I think winning the bowl game is what priority for them right now.

Oklahoma fired their dc mid season. It is a shame we dont have a savage AD who would lay down the law with Richt. Then again the dumbass either had a contract that automatically extended him if we made the orange bowl or willingly extended him prematurely.

It all comes back to being a bunch of pussies and running the AD like a choir. This is not how you do it. It just isnt. I could do it better. It isnt rocket science.

An announcement now would help with both the early signing period and NSD in February. It would give those who want to sign early an idea of what we will be doing next year while also allowing us to maximize time to build relationships and get in on those we want for the NSD in February. Time becomes important when you think of our past recruiting mistakes of coming in too late in the process. Granted we are already late for most but every day that passes with the potential of having new staff changes is a day that we miss for establishing relationships with recruits for the new staff especially for NSD.

I get what you’re saying. I don’t believe in AD’s forcing staff changes. If an AD is forcing changes you might as well fire the HC. Make suggestions and allow your coach to make the decision.

I agree with you. Honestly I’m not concerned about recruits. Recruits come and go. This offseason is about the offensive staff.

They had Kinsbury right there and as always we have zero interest. This program has become a joke, hiring his son who has zero experience as a qb coach clearly shows us he doesn't care if he wins or not.

Searles would make a difference in a bowl game?..

Idk but going to a bowl game without a OL coach is not ideal.
Do what other schools do. Take one of the guys who assists in coaching the OL and let him coach the OL for the meaningless bowl.

If Sabag can fire *****in before the NC game and make it work, then we can get rid of Sewer before the Underwearstripe Bowl.

Having said that, unless we’re getting a new OC I don’t care what happens with Sewer.

Yeah but that opens another excuse for Richt and Brown if the offense struggles. And I’m tired of excuses and throwing these players under the bus every chance they get. I don’t mind Searles being here with a new OC.

Firing Searles now would make sense , lots of it.

The sooner the better
