Is Richt feeling pressure?

Man, I would like to see the fire he showed in the Wisky game at least once every game. That is what he needs to fire this team up. He shows fire, the team will show fire.

Win or Loss if this offense doesn’t perform well coming off a bye week. Richt will have a long week.

Rick bought himself at least two more years of worry free sleep with his IPF donation. His biggest worry right now is running out of space in his money vault.

I feel he has some...hw has been trying to talk more about some changes and even lied that the offense was destroying the D in practice (Not even a good lie).

I mean, do you think he's in desperation mode to win out the season and/or The Coastal?

Doesn't seem like it, I see the same low energy, "aw shucks", "the 2020 Class..." HC I've seen since day one. But I may be biased, I always thought low of him.

The sense of urgency in the UVA game was non existent. He'll, not unlike the FSU and LSU games, (and all the others we've said "No mas" to early)

I'd have to think, if he cares about winning out, he actually believes we have zero chance with Perry. Or is he so non worried, he is starting Rosier to prove a non performance style point?
At the UVA game, i would say he had some sense of urgency. Hence the maniacal decision to throw in Rosier.

In general though, he has seemed tired and exhausted since the summer. Burnt out really. I hope he's OK but i have seriously wondered about his health overall and especially his mental health. Could be old age, diet, too many responsibilities (he is heavily involved with the IPF in addition to being CEO and OC and being a family man).

The guy needs some T shots, a juice cleanse, a mistress, something to get the juices flowing!!

But when will the planes fly? If we lose to BC and are out of the Coastal?

That’s a little early Eddie

Heat will be in offseason. Maybe a banner for Pitt or bowl begging for OC ( if we drop 2 by then).

If he drops a couple, doesn’t hire OC and step away, and loses to Florida next season, then it will and should get Golden hot fast

Based on how long it took to get rid of golden one would think 3 or 4 more years given he won the Coastal last year and got us to number two ranking for a week. Losing the team and the fan base with weakening recruiting classes that would be shortened, Also, Donna is not president so Mark might not be so safe. However, I doubt he thinks he is in trouble. He was shocked when UGA fired him and 100 years of failure -- like Bobby he thinks himself untouchable.

His biggest problem is he cannot hold momentum. Last year, if he beat Pitt, loss to Clemson and beat WI, the recruiting class would had closed stronger in February. Now he beats noles for second year with exciting comeback in packed house and then blows everything with UVA -- this years class was already toast, now it is burnt toast. The man cannot close the deal. He is perfect wing man if you are hunting women. Tall, good looking, sweet and nice to draw them in and warm them up but can't close. You can pick up the disappointed pieces nice and easy.

If your last scenario happens, you can name this the 'Richt Stimulus Package' because fans will make the decision to not go to games, travel ,etc

Again, Im not sure how much of an impact banners have but you impact the bottom line financially, and yeah, that matters

I agree with this, he absolutely does not look like the guy he was 2 years ago. He came in lost like 30 lbs, wearing sport watches and shades, basketball shorts, rocking the goatee and selling paradise. Now he looks lifeless, I think he thought coming here would be easy but reality set in quick; especially the fact that he has to come to the realization that he can't cut it calling plays and Georgia was right.

Has nothing to do with the contract extension. If the heat is turned up enough & things get ugly (his son demanded to be fired) he will retire on his own.

Geez, so now we have 'Weekend at Richt's?' going on?

I really hadn't noticed any real outward physical decline in Richt to be honest

I've seen you post this a few times, trying to speak it into existence? Lol, I don't see dude giving up 4 plus mil a year but maybe if the pressure gets too bad

Lol, I'm not saying he looks sick but he definitely doesn't look the same. Idk if it's pressure or realizing he won't cut it calling plays and Georgia was right or what but definitely different. Also, I think he thought recruiting would be a lot better than it is

Duke4, that was my one concern with this hire when it was made - were his best days as a coach in the rearview mirror?

Idk that's tough. I think he wants to win and definitely has the qualities to but we always seem to get the stubborn and loyal to a fault coaches. If he can swallow his pride and make the necessary changes and additions this team needs, he can succeed. Problem is, he hasn't shown any indication that the thought has crossed his mind and Georgia gave him 15 years and plenty of resources and he couldn't.

lol and that is? you got the money to hire an elite elite guy? if not, shut up w this.

Man shut ur non-hoopin *** up ****nuttt. Here is a suggestion. I'm sure UM has money to hire a search group (like in the past) that have analyst that can compile metrics on the top 25 offensive minded coaches in D2, D1 and NFL that are young, creative, impressive wins, salary, coaching tree, playing history, references, due diligence, etc. Then narrow it down to a Top 5 that fit UM's criteria like pro-style, high power offense, salary range, age that can relate and recruit in todays terms, etc...It doesn't always have to be about money. Some people just need an opportunity and are hungry. Thomas? WTF has this dude done as a coordinator in his past? Nothing! and it shows on gameday. I think Blake James went the easy route. The lazy route. I still think Mork should be the HC. I don't think he should be the OC.

lol so get everything everyone wants in an HC in the country. the search firms have largely been a waste of time and money for many schools (not just UM) and you just named a criteria that everyone in the country wants as an HC and ****, in the nFL too. the salary range for the type of guy you mentioned costs 5 mill plus. Taggert got 5 mill at FSU, Mullen got even more at UF and he was their third choice as HC. were still paying richt outside of the top 20 in salary. it is about money when it comes to getting the biggest names and the stuff you said as a criteria will bring back a list of the biggest and hottest names in coaching circles that are available. UM is in a tricky spot bc they cannot afford (not money, but risk) to go after another up and comer who wants the challenge and flop anymore. they need a proven guy (whether its richt or after richt) bc of the failures of the past.

as it relates to brown, he doesnt call plays and is just a CO-OC by title not by duties. his job is to coach up RBs and recruit.
