Is NC State Actually Good?

Look man, ain’t nobody hanging banners for this ****, but as the President of the Keeping It Real Club, yall gonna have just a smidge of perspective here once in a while. I come on this board sometimes and think we’re Kent State or some ****.

No, we're not gonna get blown out by NC State. We don't get blown out by anybody, ever. The last time we lost a game by more than 7 was November 4, 2023.

After losing to SMU I don't expect a win against NCST on Saturday, they are a better team than the Mustangs who we somehow managed to lose to 🤮...I expect Bailey to torch our pass D and our O to plod along as it has been...hope I am wrong but SMU showed that we are capable of losing to anyone and having more talent than the other team does not equate to winning the game...I will be watching and rooting the Canes on but have to be real about the state of this team

They are not good. They have a crap D but that hasn't seemed to help our crap offense. We are 3 yards, a false start, and INT type offense right now. NC State does have a QB able to make plays and we will keep him one completion away from a W for 60 minutes so we absolutely can snatch defeat on Saturday.

But Mario, with his conservative nature, is going to want to slow the game down. There are many factors which Mario will use to justify being conservative.

1. Injuries on D. OJ. Scott. Moten. Thin at DL. etc.
2. Carson Beck not trustworthy.

If we struggle against THIS defense, its over. Shut it down. Dam near their entire starting defense portaled out in offseason cause I am guessing their NIL is really bad. Entire DB core portaled out, one to USC (Bishop Fitzgerald is playing at AA level and a Thorpe semi finalist) and other to LSU. But they have LB who portaled here to be buried on depth chart, Dlineman to SEC school, another corner to USCe Brandon Cisse is getting NFL draft CB#1 buzz lately. They lost a TON of talent while also best player in Concepcion.

They also had a ton of injuries early in year to their B squad defense, Im sure with bye week they get some guys back but this defense is beyond bad and if we cant score on c-d level guys we dont deserve to be in playoffs. Just that simple, Mario can say its same talent level but that lets you know the type of boost he gives the talent he recruits in his offense. A-hole offense is demoralizing to talent. We are at home, We need to score 40+

GT last year was not "good".. and their QB couldnt throw, they literally would substitute when they wanted to do something..

UL this year, their fans are calling for miller moss head and we let him be comfortable all game. Bell hasnt even done anything since our game honestly. One leg SMU qb had career day who even our DC said he let get comfortable lol.. These are not "good" teams, they never get mentioned by national media in any way.

45-28 NC state. The underclassmen on this team looking for next year or the door. The upper classmen already have the tape they want for the NFL. Another year of heartbreak. Happy thanksgiving fam.

I get what he’s saying though. Our 2 losses last year were to a 10-3 Syracuse team and GT. Although GT’s final record wasn’t great, their losses were to 10-3 Syracuse, a good Louisville team, ND, UGA (in 7 OTs). Their only bad loss was VaTech. GT was one of those teams who was a bit better than their record indicated. This year we obviously know what kind of teams Louisville and SMU are…still, I wouldn’t consider them “bad” per se. To me that would be a Stanford or Syracuse. Regardless, your response made me crack up.
