Is Miami Further Ahead In The State Than Ever?

We have a whole tears thread for them but holy **** are they bad and completely screwed. It’s been 7 years and Norvell has done literally nothing good aside from the stars aligning in 2023. It’s almost unfathomable how bad they’ve run out, and now they’re literally stuck with a guy who they simultaneously can’t afford to fire and can’t afford to not fire. It’s glorious.

Every time I’ve seen bits and pieces of recent Norvell interviews, he comes across as a guy literally just going through the motions.

That has to be obvious to anyone watching, including and especially his current team. That disinterest also has to carryover into how he interacts with his players. When it’s that bad, I just don’t see how they win any games. I’m sure they’ll win a few games here and there, but this is a really bad team with a disinterested coach running out the clock to get his max buyout.

At least that’s the way I see it.

We are ahead, but we need to capitalize with a championship. Both FSU and UF got one when the in-state rivals were down. Although it looks bright for next year, I’m not naive enough to think this won’t be cyclical. Especially in the current NIL era, teams can change trajectory pretty quickly.
