Is Mario failing more-so than the other first year coaches?

His offensive philosophy is the direct response.

Oh and I don’t think these players like the coaches.. starting with Mario.

We have given every coach 3 years. I wasn’t expecting a CFP team. The injuries have killed any chance of a good season and Gattis’ O helped add injuries as he has every QB getting hit. Mario gets more years to get it right. If he is 500 in year 3, it is clear he isn’t the guy. We only need to look across the field tonight. 4 losing seasons and he may finally have FSU able to win 10 games in a season.
I’ll take the negative blinders off for a moment to acknowledge that this is FSU’s best team - offensively and defensively - since 2015. Their average margin of victory is 12 points, also their best since 2015. Unfortunately they’re headed in the right direction, although it will be interesting to see if they can maintain this with using the portal almost exclusively.

$80M over 10 years. Literally zero chance he goes anywhere for next 7 years minimum unless he's so bad/defeated after 4-5 years they are able to negotiate a reduced buyout with him. He ain't walking away like Richt for 0.

So we're stuck with him and that's a fact.

He took his shot in year 1 with a "resume impressive/big name" coaching staff and failed beyond miserably. Now he's gonna have to likely fire OC, DB coach, and more which is a terrible look after 1 year (and someone's gotta pay those buyouts. If I'm Rad i tell Mario to eat it out of his salary, no joke) and completely retool the roster in the portal.

He better pray that Ruiz ponies up cause i don't care how good a crooter mario is, its a $$$$ game now.

He better pray that Zo can scout some talent cause the number of South Florida 4 star croots who've turned into complete busts and JAGS is staggeringly bad

And We better pray that somehow he hires a good OC. Manny failed terrible with "big name hire from Bama" Enos at the time but then struck gold with Lashlee. If Mario can't do what even Manny can, we're done for.

Miami has to be the biggest disappointment in college football this year. Michigan State and Nebraska are up there. Texas A&M as well. Any others?

Serious question. There were several new head coaches hired for this season. Have any of them done as poorly as Mario? Gators, USC, LSU, OU, O, SMU, all have improved tremendously. Educate me if I am wrong.
SMU was 8-4 last year under Dykes.
OU went 11-2 last year and finished #10.
UF went 6-7 last year
LSU went 6-7 last year
USC went 4-8

So Oregon, USC, and LSU are better this year than last year. UF, SMU, Miami, Oklahoma are either the same or worse

I would love for the data gurus on here to check this for me but I don’t believe you can find this bad of a start to a regime at any national championship winning P5 football program:

*** whooping @home to Middle Tenn State

*** whopping @home to Duke.. in football

*** whopping @home to your biggest rival FSU

0 TD’s in 8 quarters

Averaging 14 PPG against P5 opponents

All of that^ with…. A preseason ranking of #15, The #13 blue chip ratio in country, and The reigning ACC rookie of year @QB. Returning with heisman/1st round buzz

This level of incompetence has never been seen before I promise
Points to the offense
