Is Mario a bridge or the destination?

With his contract, he's the destination for the time being. Why? Because the school can't(or won't) eat 60+ million dollars because the cheap fanbase demands it. Mario has to recruit, and people like Zo have to talk sense into him. Either get an OC like Sean Lewis, someone that Mario likes enough to stay out of the way(If that's what is going on), or have a come to Jesus moment with him and tell him "You aren't an OC, either you pick an OC and let them do their job, or you'll end up tanking this program" .

Absolute best case scenario he’s what richt was at uga, but more likely is he’s jimbo at Texas a&m.
Richt was a HOF quality coach at UGA. Frankly, the only thing that kept him from multiple titles there was having to deal with Saban and Meyer, two legit Top 10 all time coaches, in their prime, at the same time. If Mario is even close to Richt, we'll be extremely happy. Jimbo is a guy that rode a transcendent collegiate QB to a title and has been terrible since. I think it's a lot more likely that Mario has a ceiling of 8-11 wins per year, with the key being whether he can find an OC he trusts, and hitting on the QB position. Guidry is good enough to get the job done on his side of the ball.

He’ll knows how to build a program and he’ll get to a January bowl game eventually with loads of talent. But if he’s in a big game he will choke and fumble füçk the game away. So it begs the question once he builds the roster to a championship level do you fire him and bring in a closer or do let him keeping banging his head into the wall?
I think you’ve been dumped a lot and have read too many chicken soups with this title

He chokes against the likes of Ga Tech…what you think an UGA or one of the other real football teams would do to one of his teams…

His gameday coaching should make him a bridge, but what is the Columbus mafia's pain tolerance. If 8 win seasons with a 10 win one sprinkled in is good enough for them, then he'll be a lifer. If they expect Nattys then he'll probably be moved off by the end of year 5. I'm guessing that he'll be just good enough that they'll let him stay as long as he'd like.
